The new, Instax Mini 9 camera retains the ease of use and attractive design elements of the extremely popular Instax Mini 8 while adding five new exciting colors and a couple of new features. The new colors are: Flamingo Pink, Ice Blue, Lime Green, Cobalt Blue and Smokey White. The new, Instax Mini 9 features a selfie mirror for the perfect selfie photo every time. Close up macro photos are now easier thanks to the included close-up lens adapter which allows you to focus on subjects as close as 35-50cm. The Instax Mini 9 retains all of the other great features found in the Mini 8 including: Automatic exposure measurement. The camera signals the recommended aperture setting with a flashing LED light and the user can manually adjust the dial to the recommended setting. Great for busy parents!
I use this camera for mainly 3 things; 1. Send picture updates of kids to grandparents/family/friends Very handy. I can just snap a picture and send it the same day. 2. Send a thank you note with this instax picture My family and friends have been loving it! They love receiving a thank you note with a recent picture of kids. 3. As a picture diary Let's face it, fellow busy parents. I make photo books every 2 years lol and by the time I upload pictures from 2 years ago I don't remember the cute quotes that kids said or where exactly we went and when. Super Fun Camera for a Cheap Price
Random Christmas gift for my wife. She really liked it. She goes to a big music festival every summer and is planning on taking it and passing out the pictures she takes. Fun to have the instant photo experience to put a photo right into the little photo album I purchased for her. Super simple to use. Seems very durable. Hasn’t been dropped. Yet. Takes good quality pictures. There’s a lighting setting that’s nice. Kids love it. My 9 year old daughter has taken more pictures than my wife with it. And handing a kid the instant photo afterwards and watching their faces as it develops.

My son loves this!
My son has a new obsession! These take pretty good photos!! I got him the scrap book to go with this kind of prints and he's favorite thing is to add to the photo album. Some of the pictures doesn't come out, I'm not sure what the issue is with that, but its not too often enough, to be really concerned with it. Made a great x-mas present!

The film is pricey .
Works great.. the pictures are wallet size. The film is pricey and so is the camera. It's great to quickly have a hard copy of memorable times.

Slightly better than the sharper image instant camera but not as much
I bought this camera because Amazon was selling it for $20 less than it's usual price. I said hey that's a deal I'll get it. Shortly after, I found out that Sharper Image had an instant camera that was a lot cheaper than what this camera was ($20 brand new on eBay, $11 at Walmart). So I bought them both and decided to do a side by side comparison. If I liked one more than the other, I could return one. If I liked them both, I'd keep both. Both cameras used the same Fujifilm mini film so you don't have to go out of your way buying different film for both which is nice. They also both have the same types of functions on them - indoor, outdoor/cloudy, sunny, hi-key. very easy to use and uses AA batteries. The Fujifilm camera has a little mirror on it for selfies and an attachment for upclose shots, but the sharper image camera did not. They also both look very different but for turning them on was the same concept. You pushed a button and the camera lens popped out. When taking the pictures I decided to just take a photo of the same thing, on the same setting just to see how each photo came out. The Fujifilm photos printed out vertically whereas the sharper image photo came out horizontally. Each took about the same time to spit out the film and develop (30secs-45secs). The first 2 photos I took with the Fujifilm came out black which is unfortunate because it's a waste of film. I took an additional 2 and they came out normal. The first picture was of my fish tank. It came out clear and showed the entire tank in the photo. It had a black dots in the middle which I will attribute to either the flash or my own error because the same thing appeared on the same image with the sharper image pic I took. With the sharper image photo, it didn't show the entire tank. It was more wide. It makes more sense I suppose because of the orientation of how the film comes out of the cameras. I also took photos of my fish in a jar on both cameras. Fujifilm came out clear and vertical, sharper image came out blurry and horizontal. Upon closer inspection of the photos, the Fujifilm pics came out much clearer. You can see the details more clearly and it is more focused. The sharper image photos came out blurry, more fuzzy. Upclose shots were particularly bad, far away- not as noticable. However, the Fujifilm camera did have some black photos come out which is a no no considering how expensive the film is. If it spits out 4 or 5 black pics every packet of 10 that's a waste of money. I'd much rather take the chance of a slightly blurry pic than waste film. Ultimately it's up to you though. I'm going to keep both and use them more to see how they continue to compare with one another. Worse comes to worse, I resell lol. Update: I ordered a replacement for my Fujifilm camera because some of the film kept coming out black. It wasn't defective film, more like a defective camera.

Best investment ever!
I have always been interested in Polaroid photography but didn’t want to deal with large clunky camera’s and hard to use film. I luckily came across this beauty and I have never been happier! This instant camera is the BEST investment I have ever made. I did tons of research and this camera kept coming up as the easiest to use and the best price for what you get. This camera is definitely worth the buy! I have take a hundreds on picture on this and it still works perfect every time. I even took it on vacation and with me to California and didn’t have too big of a problem with it at the airport which was a relief. I am planning a trip to Europe this fall and will be taking it with me then as well. The camera itself is easy and self explanatory to use. This model also has a selfie mirror on the front so you can see yourself when taking a selfie or group photo. If I could recommend anything to anyone it would be to buy this camera!!

Great Product!
Camera arrived protected and quickly. I also liked that it came with batteries, I hadn’t seen that when I purchased it. But overall, the camera is great, already tested out and it functioned well. Edit: Also, ps. A general problem I’ve been facing related to the film getting stuck and battery. I noticed that in my old camera the film was getting stuck and I found out that it’s cause i left the batteries in, something that has also happened with this camera so watch out for that. When the film does get stuck, simply switch out the batteries and open the film box, then pull the film box with a bit of force. I say this as I messed up my previous camera not knowing what was causing the problem mentioned. As for this product, still works great 8 months later!

Problematic from the start
We bought this camera as a Christmas gift for my 10 yo daughter. I know a lot about cameras and photography, having worked with real film in the 80s & 90s as well as lots of digital products. 1) Even when the settings are correct, this camera takes bad, dark pictures. 2) When new film is loaded into this camera, the first shot is supposed to eject the back of the film and leave the next film ready to develop. From the second pack of film we loaded into this camera, every single one has resulted in a jam when the cover does not eject properly from the film slot. Clearly, we got a defective camera with things out of alignment. At first we thought it was a defective pack of film, but it's happened with EVERY pack of film. Each time it results in us having to PRY the film from the camera. It's ridiculous. 3) It eats batteries and when we load it with fully charged rechargeable AA batteries, it still thinks the batteries are low and refuses to shoot. Really? In 2023 a device that cannot handle rechargeable batteries? 4) The film is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive, and this camera should be flawless if we're expected to spend that kind of money on film. I cannot recommend this camera. Our experience has been frustrating from start to finish.
