This DOES fit in a standard carboy. It is a very tight fit at first. The tip needs to be compressed some. I am not sure what the tip is made of, however will compress enough to fit into the neck. It cleans very well. The flexible stem allows you to reach and scrub anywhere.

This will work in a 3 gallon to 6 1/2 gallon carboy. You will need strong hands to squish the end as it will not fit as shipped. Tight fit after. This one cleaned both of the above AFTER wine sat in them for 3+ years. We moved and didn’t have time to do anything with them until we dumped them out. I love the handle. Very tight fit into the mouth of my 6.5 gal carboy, but it did fit. Worked very well and made cleaning a breeze after a dry hopped mess of a beer I had previously tried a different device attached to a drill that just didn't do what i wanted. Good sturdy product.
