If your on the fence about size, take the larger size. Waste band will keep them up and they do shrink. Wash them a couple times before wearing them if you want to keep your junk comfy. Personally, I find them to be a bit abrasive right out of the package. THEY STAY UP if that is your main concern. I was a tad worried about that since they don't have an external waistband. However, these stay up great, and they don't chafe at the waistline. I'll probably buy another pack just to throw on the shelf. Feels great. It's very light. Very smooth feeling. If you don't get something that's pleated I think is the word.
