It has been 25 years since I last wore any type of underpants. What started as a habit of necessity as a young lieutenant in a light infantry battalion extended for many years into my corporate life as a business executive. As a grunt, tight whiteys didn't make the cut of essentials that would earn a prized space in my rucksack. Plus undergarments only made the wet and uncomfortable life of an infantryman only wetter and more uncomfortable. After 25 years of commando style freedom, my son, thoroughly turned off by his father's underwearless proclivities, sprung for a pair of Fruit of the Loom Men's Breathable Boxer Briefs for his old man. I'm amazed at how underwear has evolved since the tighty whitey days of yore. For one, they are no longer whitey as the product images attest. While the only portion occassionally visible with lower riding pants or shorts is the stately black wasteband, it belies a rainbow array of colors that one can glimpse when bending low or reaching high. And comfort, oh comfort! Gone is the rigid elastic band that digs into your hips leaving a fleshy racetrack around the waist by day's end. Gone is the bolt of cotton slowly forming up the buttcrack as "Tighty" migrates north with every movement of the lower extremities. Gone is the cotton! The dreaded cotton! The never drying, unbreathable, crotch frying pan cotton! The "Looms" hold their ground. They stay in their place. They cushion the boys with a lightweight, plyable, cool, forgiving mesh, whose wasteband feels delightfully undetectable when worn. I lament that 20 year old me had to wait 26 years for this moment. I’ve tried all kinds of brands Under Armor, Duluth Trading Company, Jockey, BearSkin, and a lot of others. As a chubby set man of 5’7 240lbs this is the best underwear I’ve ever owned. It prevents all chafing, and I don’t get uncomfortable rashes. No more chub rub for this guy!! Excellent undies!

My boyfriend has hidradenitis suppurativa, which is boils around your lymph nodes: Arm pits, groin, inner thighs, under your butt cheek areas, etc. He gets them in his inner thighs, under his butt cheeks, his back, arm pits, sometimes his neck. That being said, he will now only wear this underwear. With his condition, most underwear has a tendency to stick to drying blood and if you sit down all day, as he does, when he does have to get up, he has to peel off his underwear from his sores, which doesn't allow them to heal whatsoever. The best Damn underwear ever! When it comes to sweat I’ve got two things going against me: im in construction AND I’m on the younger side of being an old fart. This makes a great combination for sweating. The Fruit of the Loom underwear in micro fiber are nothing short of a miracle! Like a bone dry desert, the micro fiber wicks the moisture off your skin keeping you dry. . Where it goes, nobody knows. The fit is like a caring cozy hug that’s comforting and supportive. FINALLY, I have found them! I'm a big guy with a big ass. I also spend a bit of time sitting down because I work in an office. I try to exercise and eat well, but weight loss is pretty damned hard. I discovered boxer briefs awhile back, and even though they were better than regular briefs, the shorter legs always bothered me. Every time I'd stand up, I could feel that the legs were riding up and I'd have to stop and awkwardly pull them down. MOST annoying. I did some reading on the various longer leg version on Amazon, and these seemed to be the best. They ARE. The media could not be loaded. I'm going to start this review out strong by saying, DON'T BUY these underwear under any circumstance. You may be thinking like I did, "Well Hanes is a trusted brand that I've worn for over 20 years, so it must be a quality product. I will admit that fruit of the loom used to and may still make quality products in other categories, but these underwear need to be taken off the market and redesigned in every way. Here's why. • They provide zero testicular support. • The elastic waist band gets loose after a few times of wearing. • The waist band threads starts to fray after a few weeks of washing. • Brand new unworn pairs will suddenly tear in the rear end area. • The fabric is so coarse and doesn't soften up with fabric softener. • The colors fade very fast and can turn orange if left in the sun • The material is the cheapest, lowest quality I've ever seen used in underwear. I only have negative things to say about these underwear. I couldn't even come up with one good thing to say about them. They are a 1 star product and I do not recommend them. ... show more

As a 245lb 6’ Male Nurse I’m constantly sweating on the job - it’s a nature of the work - having recently been relying on a poly - cotton blend (cool dri etc) I’ve made due. I had prior taken an extra pair of poly/cottons to work and “change out” half way through a shift - if you’ve been there you know that sweat will run down your back and pool into your under-roos giving you the dreaded “swamp ass” - the problem with anything with cotton is it absorbs sweat and doesn’t let go - poly/cotton was way better than just cotton but enter these bad boys ! They are the best - hands down- they don’t hold onto sweat and they have hundreds of tiny holes in them (like gym shorts) allowing your boys to breath with a little “pouch support” to boot - two months in and these are all I will wear period ! ... show more
