  • Great wading shoe except size on label is almost random . Find your size . Get these,.
Size: 12 Color: Black
The Frog Toggs Aransas 2 is an excellent wading shoe. First, it is easy to put on. One can wear a polyester sock or thin neoprene while wearing the shoe. The zipper closure is well built. The shoe has exceptional traction. Now, the Bad: the sizing of the shoe is purely random. I wear a 12. But, after returning a 12 which was actually about a 14, and an 11 that was no different , I wound up in a 10.5 which is still a bit big but I decided to add an insole and wear thicker water socks so they fit and are comfortable. If you wet wade to fish , these Frog Toggs wading shoes grip wet rocks, allow you to hike to the stream in comfort and safety and protect your ankle while giving extra ankle stability. Just prepare to use trial and error to get the right size. Update after multiple uses: I love these . So easy to put on and off. I use them to wade while flyfishing and the sole grips the bottom very well. The ankle support design works well. These are also great for hiking up and down slopes to the stream. For comfort, do add a sport, waterproof type insole which makes your feet happy at end of fishing. These are 5+ stars after you get the right size. Update: Used these for a season and boots are like new. Excellent wet wading boots for all type stream bottoms. Also, excellent for the hike down to the stream which can be much more difficult than the wading in the stream. I recommend putting a gel type insole for added comfort. Now 2 years later ...2023....I have used the boots for several seasons and they are still in great shape . The sole is in like new shape in spite of wading and walking on rocks during every fishing session. The grip on rocks continues to be outstanding . Great ankle support and boot shape are still there. These boots hold up. ... show more

  • Only Issue is Sand
Size: 9 Color: Black
Got these boots to wear with stocking foot waders for surf fishing in colder weather. The fit with waders is pretty good and I only went up a 1/2 size from my everyday footwear. The sole is solid and firm and I do like how these have a more prominent heel compared to other wading booties. One of the biggest problems with wading boots or shoes at the beach is filling up with sand. An extreme annoyance that causes compromises such as wearing Croc style sandals instead of legitimate wading boots. On that topic, sand does get in. To minimize this, I wear neoprene gravel guards which work well but doesn't eliminate this completely. 3 things would make these boots better. A loop for your wader hook to latch on, a Velcro cinching strap that wraps completely around your shin instead of just at the back, and a better zipper. The zipper is a problem. Hard to zip up and stay up with a tight fit. Ordering a slightly larger size might solve that but the real issue is sand. Sand is constantly getting into the zipper track and making it impossible to work the zipper until you blast the zipper with high pressure water and work the it back and forth to loosen up the sand. Despite this zipper issue, all else works quite well and has performed better than any other wading boots I've tried. ... show more

  • True to size when wearing heavy socks and dry suit
Size: 11 Color: Black
I bought these to wear with thick neoprene socks and dry-suit booties. I wear size 11 shoes, ordered size 11, fit was good with the thick socks. I think they would be loose with ordinary socks, but I'll never use them that way.

  • Unlike Frogg Toggs quality
Size: 11 Color: Black
Have several Frogg Togg items. This is the first time I was disappointed! Worn 3 days and seam separated. Bought for a trip to Alaska, tried to contact customer service. All I could find was to register the product so i did. Have been trying to contact Frogg Toggs or get support from Amazon with not luck! Also, the zippers do not stay zipped. There is a strap that should go around the top of the boot but it tightens the back. My husband has a similar pair, and had no problems except for the zipper. ... show more

  • Defective Zipper on 2 Orders
Size: 11 Color: Black
My wife and I both bought these shoes and have worn them about 5 times for beach walks. The main zipper slides down on its own. One shoe has a good zipper that stays up and the other shoe has a bad zipper for both our sets. This opens the shoe to water and sand. The manufacturer contact site is for buying new items and not for help. If the zippers were good this would be a great product but with quality and support problems, keep looking. ... show more

  • Well Made - Size Seems To Run Big
Size: 10 Color: Black
I got for these fishing from the bank. With sneakers, I would often come home with wet soggy shoes and socks. These neoprene boots have solved the problem. I would normally take a size 10, but with these, there is lots of extra room. I'm thinking that maybe they were leaving extra room for heavy socks, for use in cold weather. I live in Miami, so I use a regular athletic sock. As the result, they wobble around a little when I walk. That's why I gave 'em 4 stars instead of 5. ... show more
