These boots work well for launching a kayak IF you don’t want to get wet feet and can hop in by just one step into a few inches of water Anymore than half way up the boot and you might get a little wet But the ankle support is what really helps on these as opposed to cheaper water shoes

DO NOT BUY THESE! I slipped these on to simply take the trash out just to see how they wore and before I walked 20 yards the zippers had completely dropped to the bottom. Bought them for wet wading in a summertime as a lighter weight option versus my normal wading boots. There is little support in the ankle or sole, so using these in rocky areas actually slowed me down versus using regular athletic shoes. Would probably be better for predominantly sandy or muddy areas than the rocky areas I fished. ... show more

We bought these in late October, I didn't really need to use them until late December. I like the boots design however I would not recommend them to others because the boots won't stay zipped. You put them on and zip them up take 2 steps and they are unzipped. The zipper does not lock in the up position, so if you move the boots unzip making them useless pretty much for snow, mud, water because they open themselves up by unzipping. ... show more
