The skirt was so large on my granddaughter when she tried it on that my daughter said she'd just save it until my granddaughter was old enough for it ro fit. Then I remembered that one of the reviews I had read mentioned a mechanism in the skirt for adjusting the waist, so I looked and sure enough, there is a strip on either side of the back inside that has about 10 positions for adjusting, and it now fits perfectly with all that room for growth.
