I would recommend maybe getting a size up, runs a little smaller than expected. I got a size 8 to be a bit bigger for my daughter for her school uniform it fits her, but it was meant to be bigger than a size 7 (the current size she's in)

I bought this white shirt size 14 for my 10 year old daughter who normally wears size 12 for a performance at school. I bought a slightly larger size, so she wore it loosely, but it was good because the fabric was very thin. If you wear the perfect size, your underwear may see through.
