Works well for a 6/7 year old boy who wears a uniform. He is able to get them quick up and down. The stretch at the waist is good. They are longer than I would have thought but it isn't bad.

Does not come with the factory seam like the pleated shorts do. The overall size (fit) not comparable with the pleated shorts - these are smaller - however length is same as expected.

Ordered these shorts for my son (7th grade). The shorts fit well. He's slim and has some room to grow into them. The shorts fit around the knees. I was surprised he liked them. I expect he'll get plenty of wear out of them and use them into the next school year. Great price and value.
