If, like me, you're just getting started skateboarding and don't want to spend big money for name-brand wheels, these will do. My skills aren't refined enough to tell good wheels from bad, but when I took off the small, hard skate park trick riding wheels that came with by board and replaced them with these larger, softer wheels my enjoyment and ease of just rolling around as I get used to skating was greatly increased and I have not had any problems with durability. You might want to spend a few dollars for better bearings, though the ones that come with the wheels are OK if not great. ... show more

I read a couple reviews before I bought these saying that the bearings they came with weren't very good, so along with them I bought some bone reds bearings to replace them with. The wheels themselves are high quality and were a simple drop in replacement for the wheels I initially bought for my skateboard, which were more for indoor use. These are amazing for skating outside, and provide a very smooth ride over cracks bumps and pebbles. HIGHLY recommend for any beginner skaters ... show more

Seriously, these inexpensive (notice I didn't say cheap!) black cruiser wheels and bearings rock! I bought two sets. One red, and one black so I can rock the old school crisscross style! Loving them! They have not chipped, and they roll really well over anything!

We bought a cheap skateboard from walmart ($15). The wheels & bearings were awful... so much friction. After lubing up the bearings, it glided better but not enough... cannot take apart bearings due to the way it was made. I decided to buy this wheels (black with bearings). After getting it, I immediately replaced the blah ones with the new ones... oh my! Top performance and smooth ride! Glides well! My daughter was very happy with this set of wheels w/ bearings. I am not a skater, so what i say has nothing to do with the function in that regard. What i am building is a truck box for the back of my van. it will slide out on these, holding the back doors open so that i can access tools and the like when i need to do so. Skate wheels like this are the best option for me when i do things like this. Smooth operation and silent. no squeaks, and they are absolutely round so i can make every thing closer tolerances, for less endplay and better overall operation. Hope i helped someone.
