They fit as expected, they look great, quality is good so far and my feet don't hurt. I will give them few weeks and am probably going to order a black pair. ive worn these a few times now, and for the price they arent bad. keep in mind my sole purpose for these boots is walking, jogging, hiking in the desert where I live. they are pretty true to size, they are comfortable if you dont lace them up tight. the grip of the boots are good as well. I think they will last me a while in the conditions i put them in. now these boots i dont think would last long in a harsh environment, or on work/job/construction sites. but for average hiking...or off-road footing, these are well worth the money. ... show more

I hike an average of about 9 miles of jagged rocky terrain 4 to 5 time per week. So far it's outlasting name brand boots that i paid 5x as much. Great quality, relatively comfortable. Could use a better sole, as i can feel some sharp rocks through the soles. Tread depth is fairly shallow so traction and longevity could be affected. We'll have to see how they hold up. Going on 3 months so far. Also the boots are a little heavy but i suppose it comes from the sturdy construction. The leather is treated with some sort of water repellant since water and mud come of easily and my feet stay dry. For the cost and build quality i have to admit that yes i would recommend these boots. ... show more

I bought these boots for a trip to Eastern Europe this winter. The area I went to was freezing and without electricity or running water. These are the best boots I have ever owned, hands down. I returned this pair as they run on the slim side. I ordered another pair half size larger and wide and to run slim and not wide. Hoping once they are broken in will relax the foot.

I have about 100 mi of hiking in these boots. They are hands down the best ultralight boots. If you're planning on hiking out west, like az, ut, id then look no further. Suitable for warm and hot weather hiking down to 32. I would not recommend for very wet or cold temps tho. There's little insulation. Two changes are that you must replace the insoles with plastic Arch support insoles and I'd recommend waterproofing spray. For a gen 2 I'd recommend them creating a more rugged tread like on there other boots this company makes. But please keep everything else the exact same ... show more
