These are extremally comfortable. The fit for me was about a half size smaller than my normal. I have been wearing them for a week and they feel good on the feet and legs. They look solid. I gave a 4 star while I test the quality. I can kill a pair of walmart boots in a month. So if in a month they are holding up to my abuse I'll update and add the other star. ... show more

I've got Original SWAT 9.5w, free soldier 9.5 and Garmont 9.5w. Free soldier is the widest one, almost feels like these are made for Asians, not only by. Insole is cushiony but does not help the lack of shock absorption. Outsole is not that bad, but it'll be lie to say it's good. Lace hole pushes through toung and leave a deep impression on top of foot. I can't tight these up with pain even with thick pair of socks. Neck part is unnecessarily wide and lace rivets touches each others. Suede is chip, dusts out whenever I brush, hill counter is petty cellulose and worn out pretty much after 100km walk and jog. Not bad for the price, but I will not buy any other free soldier's products. For faen. ... show more

Honestly, these things are great. They were exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something for playing airsoft with and these do the job well. I put in about 5 hours of airsoft todays in these boots and they held up without any hiccups. As for the size, I got the 9.5 and they fit a little large, as in they had plenty of space on top of the foot, which is great for me. I have plantar fasciitis and I just put a set of souls in straight on top of the souls that come with the boots and wore some thick socks and it was perfect. I can’t say with absolute certainty that these boots would stand up to daily wear as the rubber on the bottom of the boot seems a bit plastic. I don’t plan on wearing these as daily’s and only plan on wearing them about once a week. If they hold up for 6 months I’ll be more than happy with them. Only had for a few days but so far so good. I walk 5-10 miles a day doing residential and commercial landscaping. Size chart is off. If you wear a 10 in your other boots, get a 10. They've been very nice to walk in so far, no soreness. There are a couple slight pressure points that have already started to ease off. They both had to do with the gusset sitting weird. They're wide enough not to cram my toes and very breathable compared to the merrel boots I was wearing. Biggest concern is with the foam mid sole. Soft, already tore a couple small chuncks out with the brake pedal on the mower. Minor though, just won't do that again. Not sure how long they will last but for $68, they're easily replaced. ... show more
