W.O.W……..got these today after reading a lot of the reviews and the 5 stars don’t lie ! I’ve paid 5 five times the price for boots that were miserable. These right out of the box are SUPER COMFORTABLE !!!!!! $36 bucks to the door, unbelievable price !!! I put them on and walked down the block and back, the whole time thinking no way are these this nice. They have like a fleece lining I’m guessing contributes to the comfort. They seem well built with good ankle support. And they are very light ! I’m going hiking this weekend scouting for a potential coyote hunt. If these prove to be as comfortable in the Southern Nevada Desert this weekend I’m ordering another pair to stash away. Someone else said like wearing pillows for your feet, completely agree with that statement ! So far, super pleased I took a chance and ordered a pair. Like others I highly recommend trying a pair of these boots, for the price what a deal !!!!! So after our trip this last weekend I’m buying another pair to stash, these boots are just damn nice. My feet never once bothered me. It was 114 degrees here in Southern Nevada and not once did I notice any sweating in the boots, which had me a little worried. I also wore the new dickies boot sock with sweat control, whatever they call it. As a combo deal, these boots with those socks were completely comfortable compared to the Heavy and Very Uncomfortable Altama 11461B I was wearing no matter the sock I wore with them which are headed to donation at Goodwill.

Ordered these based on Amazon reviews. I agreed that I miss the padding around the top like combat boots and am learning to like the lace metal loop to lace boots up. Miss the hook method. With that being said, I measured as indicated by seller and ordered that size. It was the correct size. These wear well so far and felt comfortable. So far wore them working on landscaping in dirt and wet conditions- feet stayed dry. I don’t take it easy on footwear and these have kept up with me. We will see when hiking and camping. Barring the lacing method, I really like these so far. Price was excellent for the quality I am seeing. Would recommend highly.

Use this around the property to replace some boots from my USMC time. This is a far cry from the Bates hot weather boots I’m used to, but it is also a far cry from the price. Sizes do run large/wide. I originally ordered my regular size and my foot was sliding around all over inside. Reordered a half size smaller, and it is a great fit. Personally, I'm a big fan of the lack of zipper fitment. I’ve never been a fan of that kind of securing system. These breathe well, but the one real piece that is missing in my opinion is the collar padding. Military boots in general left the stiff webbing collar in favor of the padded collar years ago as it helped with a lot of issues. It would be good to get that last touch for these.

Wore these on a hiking trip. They’re comfortable, affordable, and look great. The only caveat is that they are not waterproof like advertised. I had the tongue and laces tightened up high and when I stepped in water, my foot got soaked.

Just put my boots on for the first time, out of the box OMG Soooo comfortable. I am 68 and for over 50 years have had to have Very light, Very soft heel, and prefer waterproof. So far 2 out 3 are GREAT. Iv'e had many brands and types of boots and not easy to please. Every time i find what i want and they work real well they stop making em. I have had a few with zippers, and for some odd reason Bates can't figure out that ya don't use a FINE zipper. Had 2 pair (cuz one was defective and they had me keep em) in a row, the absolute WORST boots ever. I have issues getting them on, but I got these without zips and love them. Easy on, could be D rings (my favorite) and do one easy tug but i'll get used to these. Oh, laces are to short to wrap around, and to long not to. Not complaining, might get second pair in a few weeks in case they stop making these. :)
