Book arrived in excellent condition. I rarely buy used books because you don't know what you are getting even if they give you a basic description of the condition. It said the book was used very good but it was practically brand new. I've seen new books from the big bookstore in much poorer condition. I purchased the book because I am new to free motion quilting. I saw the author on a quilting show episode on PBS. The author has very clear guidelines and several different practice items that you can make that build upon the previous skills. I think I will become confident in free motion quilting after using this book ... show more

I must admit I was disappointed in the size of this book. It is a very thin book. But the content outweighs my original disappointment. This book is a great start for beginners. A great book but I only give it a 3 star because the information contained is available on many blogs and is very redundant to all the information out there. If one only wants to read and practice this book may be for them but personally I have obtained all the instructions for free on free web sites.
