The kit is great, but one piece was missing. Had to contact the manufacturer in order to get a replacement. Thus the rating was lowered, be aware!

This model was challenging technically, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and no glue was required. Everything snapped or screwed together. Around 2.5 to 3 hours to assemble. Just double and triple check you have the correct cam parts in their correct locations and use the supplied alignment and timing tools. The instructions are contained within a nice book about the history of the Porsche engine. This would be a perfect project with a kid that is interested in how car engines work. ... show more

Purchased as an anniversary present for my Porsche loving husband. Our anniversary was the weekend of the big freeze/snowstorm this year. He had a blast putting it together. Added bonus is the fact the the motor works and has sound effects.

Missing parts no follow up service lack of respinse from manufacturer and supplier, I now own a incomplete , expensive model Which is too light for a boat anchor

    • Warped parts
A few parts were warped badly upon opening the box. I will try to unwarp them with a heat gun but for the price, this shouldn't be happening.
