It is just a run of the mill plastic bat with a plastic wrap that has all the graphics. First one I bought had no wrap. Replacement did but the 1 year old chewed an edge and it is coming off now. Still perfectly functional but not worth the premium for the graphics.

I like how lightweight the bat is. My 4 yo and 6 yo can easily swing it and hit the ball. On their best hits, they can get the ball as far as 50 ft or so. They feel very excited and encouraged by this long range. The balls are nicely made such that they fly pretty straight while not carrying too much weight to hurt anyone. On the occasions where my kids got hit in the face or body, they found it funny rather than painful. I got hit on my lip when my kid hit the ball straight into my face. It hurt but not too badly to cause any bleeding or bruises. Overall, I think this is the best baseball kit for little kids under 8-10 yo. My only complaint is the paint on the bat is on a plastic wrap. This means the wrap will wear off and get torn when the bat scratches on the floor. Eventually, I believe this wrap will be very beat up and will need to be torn off.

I ordered this baseball bat for our toddler as he's starting t ball this summer. He is loving practicing with this bat and a tee in our backyard. The baseball bat is a smidge long for him but, it does work great! The bat is like a traditional plastic with Franklin plastic labeling around it. The bat has a good comfortable grip and includes a couple whiffle balls. The whiffle balls work great with his Franklin brand baseball tee. Despite the bat being a smidge long it's still perfect for him as a beginner. He's able to consistently hit the ball off the tee with this bat and he is loving playing with it. For a plastic bat this one looks good, has a great grip and feels pretty sturdy to hold up to our toddlers non stop play. Overall I would absolutely recommend this plastic baseball bat to any beginner or tee ball baseball player! This is a great beginner/t ball bat!

For anyone looking for a solid wiffle ball set for their backyard, this is a great pick. The bat is plastic, but it is hard/sturdy plastic. Definitely much more solid than the typical yellow bat set that you can get for cheap at the store. It comes with three wiffle balls, but I will say these are the balls with holes all around rather than the balls that come with the offical set (where only the top half have holes). Overall it is a solid set for kids to use for fun in the backyard. It is well made and will stand up to plenty of backyard games. Three balls is a good number to start with (although be prepared to get more if these get hit over the fence!).
