Very easy to install - I removed the end caps, cut it to length, replaced the end caps, and slipped it into place. This was a very simple process and only took a few minutes to cut it down to length and install. This will hold your towels just fine, but will not support a lot of weight, so should never be used as a grab bar to support yourself getting in / out of the tub. I'm pleased with this purchase.

I looked all over for this and finally found it here. The silver is nice, was super easy to install, is super sturdy, and fit perfectly! It can hold several shampoo/conditioner bottles with ease. Great value for the money! It’s a one-size item, so no adjustability, but WILL fit most un-remodeled bathrooms!

First off, this is an easy thing to install. Measure twice, cut once... done. That's the good. The meh & not so good... this is NOT a direct-fit replacement for an acrylic bar that measures out at 13/16". This bar is 3/4". My opening in the ceramic ends was barely 1" and it tapered smaller as it got deeper. The bar I replaced (that was cracked and broke in three) was bigger than 3/4" and less than 1". .8 seemed like a no-brainer. But this replacement is definitely smaller. Not a huge deal, but it is smaller. The next thing is that this is a clear PLASTIC bar, not a clear ACRYLIC bar. It didn't say it was, but the smaller diameter and different material means this bar flexes. The old acrylic did not. So don't expect this to feel sturdy. I'm sure it'll be fine, but frankly, I'm disappointed. I'd buy it again if I had to, and couldn't find an exact size replacement but this is your option it your bar breaks and you don't want to tear off one of your holders to install one without spring-loaded ends. Last note, I cut the bar with my compound miter saw. It cuts fine. I put a piece of blue painter's tape on the end I needed to cut, marked the tape and cut from my mark. No issues whatsoever.

I really like the product: 24" Towel Bar except for the [instructions being wrong if you want it to fit nicely] I am grateful for the people who said this before I purchased mine. Though I thought it would be stiffer, but if it were then I could not have warmed the bar with HOT WATER enough to have it flex just enough to get it in without having to trim the ends. I was able to bend it a little bit & just enough to get the Towel Bar into the ceramic holders. That is my best advice to others who want their replacement Bar to fit well so there is no wiggle or movement in any way. It does take some controlled strength so run Hot water on 6 - 8 inches of the center which gives it a bit more flexibility while still warm. Put one end in and bend a small amount(not easy) which is why I say "controlled Strength" and have finger hold spring loaded end and gently as possible push bar into other end. Once in, the springs will hold it nicely end to end without any wiggle. Perhaps even better than original as it looks exactly the same. It holds two big and wet Towels just fine.! I was worried about strength as someone posted it bends under weight but at 24" but it holds them just fine. Longer ones might not. I wet(soaked) lol, the Towels just for the test. Very happy after two months of procrastinating and using hook on bathroom door which has full length mirror and with triplet girls I heard about it regularly as it was blocked and I'm the one who broke the old one. Wife & kids happy again. Now for next home item. [ Like Alan King(Comedian) said "Anyone who buys a house DESERVES it."] The upkeep it neverending.

I was surprised how easy it was to cut and install this replacement bar. The spring inserts on each side just pop out. I removed one insert, scored it with a knife cutter, and then cut it with a hand saw- no cracking or sliding. You could probably just snap it after scoring but I didn't want to take the chance. Afterward, I just put the spring insert back inside and installed it with no problem. Very happy!
