My mother and I shared a wonderful trip to San Francisco a few years back so I knew that painting this for her would make a nice sentimental gift. The canvas itself seems very high quality, though it does require a bit of work to ensure that it is nice and flat and even before painting it. The paints are a nice texture, they apply well to the canvas, and I believe that there is more than enough of each paint to finish the piece. The brushes are your standard paint by number brushes, so they really aren't of any quality, but this was not an issue for me as I have my own collection of quality brushes. The paints wash out of all of my brushes with ease. The hooks are alright, I don't really intend to use them and I am not entirely sure why they are included in the kit because I don't think attaching the hooks directly to the canvas is that great of an idea. I will either use a traditional frame, or attach it to a canvas. The images are slightly misleading as they all show the piece looking like a traditional canvas, so keep in mind that this is an unframed, flat fabric canvas. ... show more

I have a stressful job and need something I can do that takes my mind away and allows me to relax. Paint by number kits do just that, and this one is great. It will probably take me a few weeks because I usually set aside an hour a day to work on it. You might be able to finish this in a long weekend session but that's all you'll be doing due to the details on this. The brushes are meh...what you'd expect. I only do this for fun and won't actually keep the art so for me, having precise strokes isn't critical but I admittedly cringe a little with these brushes. Would definitely recommend purchasing this paint by number! I’m super happy with how this piece turned out and didn’t have any difficulties completing it with the given supplies. Of course there is the common problem of the black lines and numbers needing to be covered with multiple coats of paint. But otherwise I loved it! ... show more
