I bought these to be unbreakable and stylish. All drug store glasses break in my pants pocket. The half frame, hinges, and arms are tough and perhaps unbreakable, but the plastic string holding the lenses in can break at the mounting, so beware of that. They include a soft case for the glasses to protect them and I recommend using it. These are excellent reading glasses. I also bought a full frame version.

I need 1.25, but settled for 1.50, as 1.25 was not offered. The package was delivered in time. The problem is they sent 2.00. Way too strong for me. As I was trying them on one of the lenses came off. It is held in place by what appears to be fishing sting on lower half of lenses with a clear plastic loop. Technically I broke them, I think by adjusting the right lens, so I did not return them. Sad quality. I would take my money back, Daniel Galvan

These are very nice, bought the 2.5 for reading. The words are very clear, I can see small prints that used to be a problem with my other reading glasses. Totally love these and would recommend. They look very smart on me too....

My favorite readers in terms of look/style. Comfy! A little too delicate, maybe. But overall I like them. Edit: I came back to edit this review. I felt the correct thing to do was remove a star (from 4 down to 3) because with two more pairs purchased, BOTH of them broke within the first week. One of the two pairs broke from the action of adjusting them on my face -- lens popped out. The second pair had one of the hinges fail when the screw fell out.

I was reticent to order these because it said "men's Paolo" readers and I was not sure if that meant they would be larger and fall off my face. I even called Foster Grant and asked. They told me they should be the same size for men and women, so I ordered them, knowing I could easily return them if needed. They are PERFECT! Lightweight too. Apparently, at 74, the readers I'd been using, 2.50 strength no longer sufficed. After an eye exam, I was told by the eye doc, "Try 3.25 and up...if you can find them!" He also told me to use the 1.50 strength for distances like driving or watching a movie from a distance. My search is over.

Two pairs broke in identical place, each with less than 1 month use. One pair replaced by Amazon. I could not load the photo, but the weak point on both was the insertion of the lens cord into the temporal part of the frame. The frame insertion site breaks, and then the lens falls out.
