I've recently had to start wearing glasses, I've only ever worn readers before. I took my prescription to and eye lab, ordered some progressive lenses along with distance glasses, spent $600. The distance glasses were ok (but I don't really have a problem with distance anyway) the progressives were terrible, I've returned them twice to have them redo them and they still don't work for me. On a whim I looked at the FG progressives, I really like the quality of their readers, so I thought I'd give them a shot...for $35 what did I have to lose? OMG these glasses are great!!! Nice quality, great feel to them, very sturdy. I can wear them when I go out no blurry vision, I can read with them, I can do it all <3 I still use readers for computer stuff as I don't like having a small area for reading, but at least I can wear the progressives the majority of the time. What a relief!! Now if they just come up with a transition/progressive that would be perfect!! ... show more

I bought these as a higher-strength replacement for the same Foster Grant reading glasses that I have now. They're exactly as described, and I'm pleased with their appearance, performance, and comfort. I deducted a star because they were sent in a plastic envelope lined with small bubble-wrap. This provided minimal protection during shipping. Fortunately, they arrived in excellent condition, but I would have preferred a sturdier, recyclable small box. The fabric glasses case is too small. It matches the frame width and height, but there isn't enough material to accommodate the depth of the closed temples / arms. I'm not comfortable jamming the glasses into it. I should not have to buy a separate case that fits properly because of a design defect. ... show more

Quality seems nice and they look good. My issue is they aren’t what they advertised . The reading part is good but that’s it. They don’t have a clear section on top. The reason I bought them is so I could wear them when reading and when I’m interacting but I can’t. Dissatisfied overall

The glasses are very attractive and the reader portion of the lens is accurate and usable. However, the distance area of the lens is cloudy and it distorts just about everything in the distance. I cleaned them with eyeglass cleaner and a lens cleaning cloth but it did not help. If I hadn't destroyed the packaging in order to try them on, I would return them. Very disappointed. ... show more

These are great glasses. I do a lot of computer work, and they let me see the screen clearly through the top of the glasses and still read fine print documentation through the lower part of the lens. I especially like the "Conan" style as I have a large head and this style is wider than the rest of the line and fits me very well. This is my second pair. The first pair lasted over a year, but has finally scratched a bit from my carrying it without a case in the same pocket I had my keys in. It took quite a while to scratch those, though, and I'm going to be more careful with this new pair - I expect they'll last years ... show more
