  • Most definitely NOT cut resistant...
Size: Medium Style: 4 Gloves
Most products don't live up to marketing expectations, however this product did not even live up to its singular purpose. Upon using these gloves for the very first time, on the fourth cut, my knife sliced right through the fingertip (see pics). Fortunately...very fortunately...the glove was the only thing I cut through, and I escaped unscathed. I cannot honestly believe that this company can claim cut resistant when the gloves themselves can be so easily compromise. Bad design is one thing, but protection is what I paid for when I purchased this product, and it could not even handle that. Buyer beware. ... show more

  • Fit perfectly
Size: Medium Style: 4 Gloves
I am an accident waiting to happen. If it can be broken, I break it. I cook A LOT and use lots of sharp objects. I've grated a knuckle off at 11pm at night. I LOVE THESE GLOVES. As the directions say, they aren't stab proof but at least they give me security that I won't chop the end of my finger off. I am very careful now, even though I wear the gloves but I'm secure in the fact that if I get too close to my fingers, the knife will have a layer to cut before it cuts me. I just throw these in the washer after a few uses and they come out great. I looked but the directions don't say anything about washing so I guess its ok to do it. ... show more

  • Outstanding Protection
Size: Medium Style: 4 Gloves
The media could not be loaded. These gloves are great. I bought them because I wanted good protection for my hands while cleaning and filleting fish. They also come in various sizes, not like most that are only large. They are a level 5 which is the highest level of cut resistance for gloves. Check out the video and see just how good they really are. ... show more

  • Great for construction workers.
Size: Large Style: 4 Gloves
Great construction worker gloves! I'm a Sheet Metal Roofer so I need good cut resistance and dexterity to grab small screws and such with my gloves on. I hate gloves with rubber coating because they make my hands too hot and sweaty! These gloves keep my hands cool and dry. New out of the pack they are a bit too fuzzy so what I do is rub just a little bit of caulking all over my new gloves to flatten down the fuzz. It also makes it easier to text with my gloves on. ... show more

  • For me, this was the “purchase of the year”!
Size: Large Style: 4 Gloves
Exactly what I needed. I was successful in making homemade chitchat tetrazzini for 50 people over the weekend and not so much as one cut or nick while using my mandolin. Considering I cut up 6 red peppers, 6; yellow peppers and 5 green ones plus dozens of onions love the gloves, I tossed then in the washer with my dish towels and dried them a bit and put them right back on. They did not shrink. What an awesome find and the price was great! ... show more

  • They work!
Size: Medium Style: 4 Gloves
So many times in everyday meal preparation I resort to my mandolin for quick slicing of vegetables - and periodically end up slicing a fingertip or knicking a knuckle in the process. Bought a pair of these gloves and found they work like a charm. They're not too bulky to handle the vegetables and easily prevent sliced fingers. Plus, I throw them in the washer with dishrags and kitchen towels to keep them clean. Great invention! ... show more

  • Definitely safer for older chefs
Size: Large Style: 4 Gloves
My mom is always cutting herself because she can't feel her fingers. However, she still insists on making Sunday lunch when KFC and Ingles are just up the road. She loves these gloves. They are great against slashes or chops. I tested them with a cucumber in the finger area. However, and it says on the package they are not stab resistant. For the money you can't go wrong and I have bought two sets of 2 for my wife and mother. ... show more

  • Not steel, not so tough either.
Size: Large Style: 4 Gloves
Since I got this item on an Amazon search for steel kitchen gloves I had initially supposed they were steel knit, since the last pair of steel kitchen gloves were just that. Nowhere in the product description does it say they're not steel; just doesn't say they are and I should have remembered that Amazon tends to include any "maybes" on their searches. Silly me. Description says " High Performance Breathable Lightweight Cut Proof Fibers Provide Excellent Protection" which I doubt since the two pairs I got had some mis-stitching on the seams and some loose fibers hanging off which I easily removed by cutting with a pair of scissors. How do you cut cut resistant fibers with scissors? Anyway they were cheap enough so instead of giving them as Christmas presents to unsuspecting wannabee chefs or trying to send them back I'll just save them and use them in the yard in place of cotton gloves. They're not perfect for the garden but are good enough to not want to send back. Since they're stretchy and, er, um, not steel (!) I'll have to be careful using them in the sweetbriers or blackberries since thorns go right through them. (Yes, I tested them out before I wrote that about the thorns. ) But they are as good or better than cotton for other gardening. For thorns leather is better. ... show more
