I have a habit of nicking my knuckles while peeling potatoes. While in the military I was introduced to cut resistant gloves, they work and these work very well. I am not going to make any claims to cut resistance to the ability from a knife. I am not going to try that at least on purpose.

Got a batch of 4 for a good price. They work and will protect your hands from cuts. I've been hand washing them. Ran one through the dishwasher and it came out ok. They can be worn on either hand. I think they'll shrink if you were to put them through a hot dryer. Fit is tight, get the large size. I tested them against reasonable cuts and they protect, but if you were to accidentally 'stab' it will hurt! The point would definitely penetrate, they aren't made to protect against that. For everyday slicing I use it on my left hand and it works perfectly well. i don't see any need to go higher end or spend more. ... show more
