  • My kids will just love it!
It takes a bit of time and effort to put together. But is fantastic once done. It's sturdy, has no problem holding the weight of a king-sized bed sheet plus (I'd recommend sheets, blankets can be too heavy). You can assemble it into many different shapes and sizes, even come up with a design of your own design! Ours is taller than the original design in the instructions, so an adult can sit in it. If you have room, you could keep it up for a long time for the kids to play with. We had lots of leftover balls, clips, and sticks. You could use these leftover pieces to make it wider or taller! The sticks come apart easily, so be careful when moving it around the room. ... show more

  • Critical flaw
Thought this would be a fun toy for my 7yo son, that he could build blanket forts of different shapes and sizes. Bought it for him for Christmas and we started building it but I quickly realized that this set will not last long at all, there is a critical weakness/flaw in the joint pieces. When connected to the rods they are put under more stress than they can handle and they snap in half. I’m now considering just sending it back. Edit: I am returning, day after assembling I realized that in addition to the connectors breaking far too easily I had to do nearly all the assembly because it was too difficult for my 7yo son and even for me getting the pieces together was not easy and I ended up giving myself a sore thumb from all the excessive pressure needed to fit the parts together. Taking it apart was also just as difficult. Even once you get it assembled it is far weaker than I’d expected and could barely hold up lightweight blankets, if you bumped into it the whole thing started to twist and deform and more connectors started snapping in half causing further collapse. I can’t stress enough how bad this product is, cheap garbage, save your money and sanity and don’t buy this one. ... show more

  • This year's Christmas winner
Since its Christmas debut, the entire family has played with this set. The kids, the teens, the adults, the pets. My only gripe is that the box doesn't fit all of the sticks when the attachment pieces are still attached. It would be great if the box was about 2 inches wider to accommodate that. Also, a couple of the attachment pieces have broken, but there were plenty of extras included. ... show more

  • A parent's nightmare
It's terrible for the parents, but it's ok because we bought it for my nephews. 1. Tiny attachments are separated from the rods! We had to spend a long time putting tiny pieces at the end of each of the rods before we could even start building the fort. 2. Attachments are super hard to put together and take apart from the spheres and polyhedrons, even for the adults. My nephews could not put it together, so we had to build the fort for them. Their other sets of fort building toys were much more kid friendly. With a sturdy connection the the balls, and a crappy connection to the rods meant that they will just come apart from the rods instead. You can bend them across one axis to get them out easily, but it puts stress on the thinner parts of the attachments. We bought two sets, and only one little attachment broke off, but we also only built one fort. 3. Rods are not very sturdy. It's nice because it's a bit forgiving on which holes they can choose to connect. But it also makes the fort a bit flimsy. 4. Orange spheres and the polyhedrons had terrible placement of the holes. You need more holes that are 60 degrees apart, since the you can only make equilateral triangles (all the rods have the same length). Again, the rods were flexible so it still allows you to build the fort, so it's not that big of a deal. 5. It was still a lot of fun, but the kids can't really build it. ... show more

  • Do not Buy!! Breaks easily!!
We got this kit as an add on to a previous fort kit we bought our son. He wanted to build larger forts. The price was great and the reviews seemed good so we gave it a shot. The previous kit we bought was way better quality but much more expensive and was made by 9luoom. This kit is cheaply made! Just plain horrible! The sticks themselves are of good quailty but the connectors are hard to put on the sticks at times. The connectors get stuck in the ball. My 8 year old couldn't get the sticks to come away from the balls without them breaking! He did it correctly, this was not his first fort kit, he knew to pinch the clips and that proved to be impossible for him. He never got to build anything with this kit because the balls kept breaking. You get what you pay for with this kit. Save yourself a headache and spend more for a better kit. Looks like I will be spending more for the kit we got the last time. This one is definitely going back!! ... show more

  • Great fun
This was a Christmas gift to my 7 year old Granddaughter. All kids love to build a fort. This is a great size, Easy to set up. Built well enough for sheets to cover. What a great gift. I will definitely order more for my other littles.

  • Fun Toy
This toy has brought so much fun to the winter days when we are stuck inside. It allows my kids to be creative and have their own unique play space. My boys put it together themselves. You will need a large sheet such as a king size sheet or larger. I don't recommend a blanket as it adds too much weight. The instructions are full of different ideas for making it, which is fun. Overall, it's nice that you can build it, play with it, take it apart and create something new. ... show more

  • Flimsy
Easily the worst gift I gave my children for Christmas. Fun fact: you must attach the end connector pieces to the blue bars themselves, and they do NOT stay on. My hands were in awful shape after assembling an igloo for them and it took 2 hours to do it while ensuring everything was as tight as possible. Then I placed the thinnest possible microfiber sheet over it (what use is a completely see-through fort?) and it collapsed! Nonetheless I gave it another chance and rebuilt it. To no one’s surprise, it didn’t stay standing for long. The attached photo shows what gentle play will do to your creation. ... show more
