  • Reliable and Efficient Welding Rods
Size: 3/32-Inch Style: Welding Rod
I recently used the Forney 30705 E7018 Welding Rods for a few of my DIY projects, and they’ve quickly become a staple in my workshop. These 3/32-inch rods in the 5-pound pack have proven to be incredibly reliable and efficient. The first thing that struck me was the ease of striking and maintaining an arc. Even for someone who doesn’t weld every day, these rods make the process smooth and hassle-free. I’ve tackled a range of projects, from fixing a broken trailer hitch to fabricating custom brackets, and these rods have consistently delivered strong, clean welds. One aspect I appreciate is the low spatter. It makes for much cleaner work, reducing the amount of cleanup needed afterward. Plus, the slag is easy to chip off, which saves me time and effort. I did notice that they run a bit hot, so adjusting the amperage was necessary to get the best results. Once I dialed in the right settings, the performance was stellar. These rods handle well in various positions, which is a huge plus for any DIYer working on different types of joints and angles. The packaging is also convenient, keeping the rods in good condition and ready for use whenever I need them. These Forney welding rods are a great addition to my welding supplies, and I’ll definitely be sticking with them for future projects. ... show more

  • So far, so good
Size: 3/32-Inch Style: Welding Rod
So far, I have been pleased with this blower. It has sufficient air to operate my forge easily. I am using anthracite coal which needs a nearly constant air flow to keep burning. I've used the blower for a total of about 10 hours use over the past few months.

Not the correct rod for low voltage welding

  • Works pretty well
Size: 3/32-Inch Style: Welding Rod
Runs clean on a little 120V inverter machine. Compared to some Lincoln 3/32" 7018, the Forney is much more forgiving about arc length when it comes to porosity. The puddle is also more fluid than the Lincoln, laying down a wider flatter bead. A bit of finesse is required to not stick the rod when lighting up, but it's not too bad if you long-arc it for a bit to get it heat up. ... show more
