Hello all! Allow me to introduce myself as a lifelong collector and lover of all kinds and varieties of fabulous perfumes and rare oils! I was born in 1978, I am 41 years old and in 2010 I was a counter manager at Dillards department store for Clarins France. I see that there is a debate about the legitimacy or the realness of this product so being that my job as a manager also allowed me to fully operate the perfume and fragrance for women and men counters at Dillards in Tyler, Texas; the number 2 store where the Dillard family actually shops. We had to be elite with perfection at all times in every department of the second Dillards department store that ever opened with their first department store being in Texarkana in 1952. Today they have over 370 Department Stores. I love Alfred Sung original, I love Alfred Sung Forever and they are actually my signature fragrances as well as Lauren by Ralph Lauren. In 2010 we were educated about what was happening with the Alfred Sung fragrance collection. Let me clear up any confusion I hope for future buyers as my order arrived beautifully today and I have plans to order MANY MORE BOTTLES AS SOON AS I CAN!!! SOON THEY'LL ALL BE GONE!!! The fragrance group that owned and oversaw the manufacturing of all Alfred Sung fragrances and many of the other popular fragrances that we all love to wear is called the Riviera Group. The decision to completely discontinue manufacturing new stock of Alfred Sung original and Alfred sung Forever and several others was a decision that hung in the balance to see if before that occurred that the products could be picked up by the Louis Vuitton fragrance group and therefore would have been continued to be produced and sold. The Louis Vuitton fragrance group did not make the acquisition unfortunately, however the vast remaining stock worldwide of these products are all genuine. There is really no way to make a fake copy of a patented and licensed and trademarked product. If possible, the lawsuits would be tremendous! Over time, as these warehouse overstocked products age, if you will remember they do have alcohol in them and that can sometimes break down causing the first few sprays of an older product to smell different or maybe not as accurate as what you remember but these are as genuine as can be. I have taken pictures to show you that my bottles came wrapped in cellophane, they looked identical to how they sold from Dillards and other fine department stores when they were in full production. Rarely you'll catch one or two at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Ross and places similar. I took a few pictures when I opened the package and placed the bottle next to the package and another one with the bottle laying across the package so that you could all get a good view and understand that this is a licensed very genuine product and it is the real deal. However it may be somewhat older and therefore you cannot compare 10 to 20 years ago Alfred Sung products that were in full production, fresh on the counter to the Alfred Sung products that have been discontinued that have been bought by big warehouser companies that continue to sell their remaining stock. Thank God for them or we would have lost this opportunity to enjoy these fabulous Alfred Sung wonderful fragrances at all. For those of you who feel that the fragrance wears off too soon, as a lifelong connoisseur of fine fragrances whether they are oil based as in a parfum or eau de toilet; more alcohol based, let me help you again with understanding the chemistry involved so you can feel happier as I too get upset when I myself sense the smell dissipates too quickly. This science belongs to our brain and our olfactory senses as we are accustomed to the first spray and the first few hours the fragrance smells strong to ourselves then we notice it seems to fade and that this happens whether it is oil or alcohol based. This is because we can no longer detect the actual product that still is quite strong such as when someone gives you a complement when you yourself feel it is odd they can smell you but you do not seem to smell the brilliant fragrance. It is because we have become sensitized and you can practice this test by applying a fragrance that you suspect is fading too quickly without telling anyone and in four or five hours ask one of your coworkers or a friend to smell you and give you their opinion. I I'm willing to wager money on the answer that you will get which will likely be a compliment as that person is not sensitized to the fragrance that you are wearing and they are smelling you for the first time such as when you first smelled your own application. So even though we feel the fragrance has faded it is still there and usually will last anywhere between 10 and 24 hours with the chemistry of our skin and we are all different. But this is the true story of how this product is real and the science of why we may not think that it is on us anymore to a degree where we feel that strong fragrance and we are unhappy. I, more than anyone know how to spot a fake such as handbags etc. and it is very difficult to fake licensed and patented products that have internal contents, like a food or like a perfume. In fact they have stores in the mall where they can try to come close to your favorite fragrance and they will make it in front of your face trying to copy the notes and sents in the recipe they do not have the copyrights or patent release ownership of and may come close but that is not the case with this seller or this product at all when it comes in the box that is pictured before you that I opened with you in mind and explain to you what I learned while I was a manager in the beauty department for Dillards Department Stores. Furthermore, my email from the seller was an extended letter and I just bought three $30 rare olive tree wood fingernail brushes from Germany and they did not write me a letter thanking me for my business. They did not send me a special email, but this vendor did and that means a lot to me as a consumer today and it should mean something to you too. My great hope is to allay any fears that you are purchasing a product that once retailed for over $60 well over 10/20 years ago and also that these fragrances are still heavily on you for others to enjoy how you smell even if you feel the product faded on you yourself. I am not prone to taking the time to be so thorough when writing a review and I am a big a Amazon shopper; perhaps that needs to change. I looked at the different vendors of this fabulous Alfred Sung classic and I chose to do business here and I am so glad I did! In return for their extreme care for my happiness with their business and their product, I am proud to leave an extensive review that will help us all enjoy shopping with this vendor. I was happy to even have shared some information I learned from the big managers at Dillards during the actual time when the Riviera group was going to fully discontinue production of most of the Alfred Sung original lineup, unfortunately not picked up by the Louis Vuitton group. I wish for you all to shop with confidence and knowing that you are hearing from somebody who probably runs to my perfume tray if I've had a tiff or if I'm being dramatic because I can, and I'm fabulous (lol) and you can certainly send me a message on Instagram TLaurens13 where I will be happy to jump up and down with you when you are so excited that you bought this product with this vendor! It came as pictured, perfectly ready to wrap or toss in a gift bag with sellers that have taken more time in writing to me over a $20 purchase than the last thousand dollars I've spent on Amazon this last week/month. All of those other various purchases had much bigger expenses involved than this without getting such care from the sellers. I am so grateful and I know you all will be so pleased. I have fragrance sensitivities, but Aflred Sung's fragrances are light, beautiful and long lasting. Best of all, I love the femininity of the fragrances. This is one of my favorites of his collection.

The smell is pleasant,a slight sweetness but not like candy with a grown smooth center, with a soft airy note to finish is the best way I can explain lol and long lasting Definitely brings be back to the classic perfumes my mother would wear. But not that hard hitting kinds from back in the day

I purchased the original Alfred Sung scent years ago and, at the time, it was nice, a bit different from musky or floral which I could appreciate because literally everyone was wearing Eternity or a similiar fragrance. I saw this fragrance and was excited! A brand from the past that I knew and liked years ago! It didn't hit me until after I received the bottle that every "artist" has their own flair on the perfume/cologne that they create too. Just like you know when Eddie Van Halen is playing in a song or a Monet painting or Celine Dion singing, other artists have their own take on a scent and perfume/cologne is no different. I do like the smell of this but it's too familiar and that timr has come and gone. I will wear this in addition to some other scents that I kind of like but will continue my quest for something more floral and COMPLETELY feminine and fresh.

It is nice, it’s almost a copycat to eternity/ or Estee Lauter, beautiful. But a little less intense. Has a hint of a manly oil in the mix (Tres flores) Husband says it smells like it would be for a man too. It came in the original wrapping plastic. I’m trying to smell it, so I keep spraying it. I really don’t think it last that long. I guess it would be nice for a friendly man. I just sprayed it, and it smells like that, just showered , pomade smell for a man. 30 days Update: after trying it a few more times, around 10x , I’m finding that it does last long. I added it in my hair and by the next day, especially if I have it in a bun, I can still smell the aroma of eternity – sweet and peppery. A Fresh and clean feeling. I’m actually enjoying it. I’ve also sprayed my clothes and it does kind of last, I’m impressed!
