I’ve had this for over a year now and primarily use it for scuba diving. It’s pretty good quality but the collapsible part can be difficult sometimes and stick. I rinse it with fresh water after each dive but I’m guessing the salt water is eating away at some internal parts. A few times I’ve stuck it in the water from a moving boat trying to capture dolphins on the surface and it held up but I wouldn’t recommend doing that at high speeds. It’s probably done 30-40 dives so far and aside from the collapsible part everything else is in great shape. ... show more

I was stoked about the quality and sturdiness of this selfie stick when I first got it. Went 3 whole months of “normal”, family vacation use before the only weak link failed. The plastic camera mount broke in two. Luckily I had a strap on my GoPro which prevented a fall. * Revision Suggestion to the manufacturer. Replace the plastic camera mount with an aluminum one. Then this product would be flawless! ... show more

Really functional but I didn't take of the stick off of the camera once mounted and after a year the screw rusted made the whole selfie stick unremovable, it was too late when I realized it. I had to use saw to break the mount, needless to say the selfie stick is no longer usable, and the rust completely ruined the aesthetic of the plastic portion of the mount on the GoPro, basically the black paint peeled off, exposing white plastic material underneeth. ... show more

    • It works
It's a little heavier than expected which isn't a bad thing. The grip is grippy, comes with an adjustable wrist strap, I like the blue version with the aluminum butt cap, I have some blue anodized GP screws that are a perfect match which was an unexpected find. It's somewhat easy to deploy and retract. One section at random always seems to be a little reluctant to loosen up in the same turns as the others but it works with a little extra twist. I think someone who even moderately wrenches on it to open or close it is going to break it or at least pop the sgements apart. But anyone who takes care of their gear rather than treating it as disposable should be okay. Overall I think it's a good value for the price. The length is about right for basic extensions, you can extend it to whatever percentage of length you need without any issues. The weight in the shortest length helps stabilize the camera, a light longer stick with a camera on the end of it ends up kind of 'whippy' or at least high motion if you're using it while moving. ... show more
