I have always worn Footjoy golf shoes and no disappointment with this new pair. Shoes look great, very traditional, and no gapping or bulging at bend areas, so right size and sleek fit, and no need for break-in. The collar area padding is a bit thinner in material than earlier versions I have owned. But, the outside shoe actually looks more expensive in material, and I didn't notice any loss of comfort around the ankle with less padding -- though I will see on shoe wear, i.e., if any extra padding would have been needed to not wear down. One note, I had to go up one-half size from previous Footjoy shoes. So, that was a bit odd. Normally, I take a 11.5 and took a 12 in this model, of which outside some generic whole number boot sizes, I have never worn a 12 in my life. Nonetheless, that was the size. I thought it might end up too loose. But, after several rounds no change, no ankle sock slippage, completely comfortable, and if the shoes do stretch, insole cushions will work perfectly. The only other point is that I gained about a 1/2" in height over my old worn shoes. So, it took a few holes to get used to. Overall, I am extremely pleased with these shoes, and, in fact, bought another pair of this model in black, as I like the traditional look as an alternative to the more athletic or tennis shoe looking golf shoes out there. ... show more

While the shoes showed up in an open box (thus the 4 star) that had been around the block and pretty beat up, and the right shoe had been previously tried on (this evidenced by the laces), the shoes themselves look brand new (with tags), fit great, and are very comfortable… Wearing them around the house to have them conform to my feet, but feel just fine right out of the ‘box’…! 👍😎👍 Can’t wait to get them on the course!! ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: New shoes however did not come in its original FootJob box though... Came in a plain brown cardboard box which was frustrating. But shoes appear to be genuine. Comfort: Like the shoes brand

Footjoy has knocked it out of the park with this shoe. The classic look coupled with excellent features is a winner. FJ probably has a line that is a little more comfy but it’s clear that this shoe is designed for looks and performance on the course. The versa-trax system on the bottom of the shoe paired with the soft spikes is a perfect combo. While they may have a more “comfortable” line, you certainly won’t be walking on pins and needles, these shoes may just take a little extra time to break in due to the shoe material. I would buy 1000 pairs of these if I could, I hope footjoy never stops making them. One last note, as with all footjoy products, these shoes run a half to a full size bigger than your normal tennis shoes. I’m a 9.5 in regular shoes and got a size 9 in these golf shoes. Maybe could have even dropped down to an 8.5, but 9 definitely is solid for me. Happy golfing!! ... show more
