They are soft enough that the younger kids aren’t afraid of getting hit by them, but they still travel far and fast. They have been submerged in water and we found they are easy to drain. These balls look great and lasted one day. They started peeling apart and breaking open after one use. Although they are cheaper than bigger name brand , the quality is no good. Invest in a more expensive brand and it will save you money in the long run.
