My children have been enjoying playing with these Flying Disc Launcher. It's really so fun! I tried with my kids in the backyard, certainly depends in how strong you push the pedal, the discs will be launched higher or lower. Obviously if you find a strong wind you will be in trouble! Hihihi :) I understood they can't be too close to the pedal launcher to avoid any damage to their faces, and that's the reason these toys comes with face protectors, because if they are too close, they could be hurt by the discs on the face. A great activity for all ages! We used this as a pool size toy and the discs float on top of the water. Everyone had fun taking turns trying to catch the discs and also shooting them. They can fly high or low depending on how hard the handle is pushed. You can also stack multiple discs and they go in different directions. First off, this toy is much smaller than I expected. No big deal, it was just a surprise. This toy is definitely more for the little older crowd. A child of two or three could play with it, but in order to really be able to enjoy it, I think around five or six and up would be good. I love that it came with lots of disks, because my kiddos played with it for the first time on a windy fall day and we had a few land on the roof. It comes with two little nets for the kids to use to try to catch the disks and two 'safety face shields'. The nets were ok, kind of small, but usable. Honestly, I had a group of several kids and they enjoyed just chasing the disks and trying to either catch them with their hands or finding them after they landed. The safety shields were pretty tough to keep on, and we eventually decided the kids could just stand back while I launched the disks. I think this would make a great summertime birthday gift for about a 7 year old. I also think this could be fun indoors in maybe a gymnasium or something where the disks wouldn't chance hitting something and breaking it. I appreciate that this is a battery free toy, and that multiple children can play together with it. A few things to note-when I opened the box the animal had some kind of oily substance all over it. It didn't smell or anything, so I just wiped it off with a disinfecting wipe. Second, I could easily see the disks getting lost easily with this toy. Not just when playing with it, but also in storage. I think it would have been nice if it came with a draw string storage bag to keep everything together. I tried putting it all back in the box, but had to take the ears off the animal first. I don't mind that too much, but its just one more thing to have to do, you know? So, I only gave this toy four stars for those reasons, but definitely feel this is an entertaining addition to a toy stash for the right age of child. ... show more

This flying disc toy was easy to assemble. Most of it was in one piece. I just had to add the ears onto the launcher and the nets needed to be slid onto their frames. All pieces feel durable and feel like they will hold up well over time. The toy only comes with two nets so not the best for a large group of kiddos. For my three year old son, it was perfect. The discs were easy for mommy or daddy to launch. Our son would then chase them down and bring them back. The discs were easy to reload as well. He did this over and over again. The launcher can launch 4 discs at a time so we held the rest back in case any were lost. The discs are small and can go quite a ways when caught by the wind. This Frisbee game is so much fun - even the 3-year old loved it! He really couldn't get enough of it. All ages, including the grandparents have fun trying to catch the little Frisbees. Get one - you'll be glad you did!

This toy is lots of fun, and my daughter and her friends love it. BUT adult supervision is absolutely recommended! My daughter stood too close to the launcher, and one of the discs sliced her lip open. If the edges on the discs weren't so sharp, I'd give it 5 stars in a heartbeat.
