I knew this would take longer to install in my driveway without a lift available, and working with a floor jack and jack stands. Once I got the old exhaust out, I found that it required some percussive maintenance to get the dual tail pipes into the muffler outlets, as the bracket was welded slightly out of alignment. Once that was done it was just a matter of aligning it all and tightening it down. As many others have mentioned, the "self tapping" screws for the rear hanger are total crap. They are softer than the frame steel, and strip the threads right off even when properly drilled. Super glue, duct tape or zip-ties would be a better choice. I just drilled the frame and put some 1/4-20 through bolts in it and it's solid. The sound is a really nice, low rumble. Not too loud at all and no silly rappy noise or resonant drone at cruise. I will have to drive it more to evaluate any perceived performance gains. I have always been happy with Flowmaster's sound. Overall, very nice, except for the crappy hardware. ... show more

It's supposed to be made for the truck bug needs to be cut 8 inches aldo needs a brace welded and installed. So description is lying.

This exhuast installed pretty fast and easy. The only issue I had was that the self threading bolts were softer than my frame and they melted rather than thread into the holes I drilled. It was an easy fix though. I drilled the holes bigger and tapped them for 3/8" cap bolts. I love the sound, it's aggressive when on the gas but quiet at idle. I didn't want to annoy my neighbor too much in the winter while warming the truck up. Over all I'm very pleased and would install this again. ... show more

I put this on my '15 Silverado, 5.3. Installation was a breeze, with the exception of the "self threading" bolt that has to be added at the frame. It was a PITA....overall, I'm very happy with the look and sound!

The media could not be loaded. Super easy to install (I used a lift). Spray WD40 on the existing hangers and they come out smooth. I made 1 cut on the existing exhaust and it came out very easy. Sound is very good. Not super loud, but you know it's there. Good quality product.

The media could not be loaded. Sounds awesome (except during V4 mode), the gunmetal tips look awesome on a dark colored paint, especially with some running boards in front of the tips. NOT an easy install though, you do have to drill into the frame to locate and mount a new exhaust hanger, plus the front exhaust clamp will probably need to be cut off from rusting hardware (as mine was), and the factory exhaust will need to be cut in half as well to remove it. So unless you're savvy with that kind of stuff, plan for a shop install. All in all, great exhaust though. ... show more

Easy to install sounds great. It give the truck a deeper aggressive sound not loud just gives it a little kick which is what I wanted for this truck You will need a saw to cut the old muffler in half to take off Also the small piece in the kit is for the crew cab you do not need it for the double cab Glad I bought it looks great ... show more
