Just bought a new truck and wanted to upgrade the sound to something more aggressive. Stumbled upon the Flowmaster outlaw kit as it looked easy to install and I have had experience with Flowmaster before with good results. This kit was no different. Easy is easy. It's ment to be a stock replacement, so if your truck is not 100% stock in terms of the exhaust, some modification will be required. That's what happened in my case. After removing the old muffler, I didn't have enough pipe for the new Flowmaster to reach the hangers. With a little extra work, I installed an extension to the pre existing pipe, and everything clamped down smooth. The sounds is awesome in my book. Has a good rumble at idle after a cold start, but once warmed up, it quites down quite a bit. Open it up though, and the pipes scream a wonderful deep rumble!

Is NOT a factory bolt on. Wish I knew that before purchasing. Had to go to autozone and purchase a 3in to 3in coupler and 2 clamps and cut the first portion of this exhaust to make it work. This should be a $100, over $400 for this is a joke. Do not recommend to anyone and will never buy flowmaster again. Could’ve done all this myself for $100.

I've had this for a couple months now, figured I'd wait before I wrote a review. I was in search of something loud, but not extremely loud. I think this hits the nail right on the head. I listened to a few other systems on other Silverados before purchasing. I thought I was going to get the American Thunder kit until I heard it in real life and realized it's not loud at all. I knew I needed something louder. Goy exactly what I was searching for. Idle sounds great, truck sounds bad@$$ driving around. Makes a hell of a lot of noise if you get on the accelerator moderately or better! Doesn't sound cheap. Drone isn't bad, and I'm someone who hasn't had loud exhaust before. That being said I am not very sensitive to sound. Drone can be loud and rattle your truck at low low RPMs. 2013 Silverado 5.3 LT Z71 4X4

Awesome sound and easy install. Unlike a lot of reviews I read on various sites, it showed up painted completely black. The hardest part of the install was removing the stock muffler and tail pipe...once I cut the mild steel pipe in front of the muffler with a chain pipe cutter, I couldn’t get it over the axle in either direction so I ended up cutting the stainless pipe behind the muffler as well. My chain pipe cutter barely scratched the stainless so I used an angle grinder. That made it easy to get out. Initially, the Flowmaster pipe would not fit over the stock exhaust pipe but some careful application of a hammer fixed that. Lastly, the supplied clamp doesn’t seem to tighten enough to make a truly secure connection so I will take it to the shop this weekend and have it welded. It’s tight enough but I really don’t want any play in it at all. No way it’s going to fall out or anything, just want it completely tight. All in all it took me a couple of hours after work this evening...well worth it for the relatively cheap price tag and the great sound. Aggressive but not overly loud...even my wife likes it!

I bought this for my 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3 motor. It is not loud enough at all like they advertised. It is not a direct bolt on on either. The exhaust pipe on my truck is 3 inch diameter and the new muffler piece is 2 3/4 inch. Wouldve been nice to know before I chopped my stock muffler off. I will NEVER buy another flowmaster exhaust again!

Very well made, slide right over factory pipe and clamp sealed great. Overall a nice day exhaust. It is very loud tho, so there's a lot of drone on the highway. It's loud but tuned so no popping like straight pipes. Installed on 10 Silverado 5.3 dumps before axle.

I haven’t even installed yet and I am disappointed, the whole set up isn’t even entirely painted. It’s a small thing but it looks like something I could have done with a rattle can. Just installed it and the process is simple, little bit of work trying to get the muffler over top of the pipe but with a grinder and sanding wheel slipped right over. Truck sounds really good, nice low rumble and turns some heads when you get on it. Couldn’t be more pleased by the installation and the sound but still disappointed in the presentation of it.
