I installed this kit, or similar one, on my 2008 Silverado, though I believe the muffler was different. I welded that kit together, it fit very well. This kit I installed on my 2011 Silverado, basically the same kit, the straight out the back and side turn pieces were slightly different and of course
it uses a different connection to the converter. The clamps aren't the best I have ever seen, so I will probably weld this kit as well, I have already went over them twice in about 100 miles of driving. I used the straight out the back tail pipes this time, I had to cut 5.25" off of the length so the tips would end right at the bottom of the bumper. Also do yourself a favor and either tack weld the tips or put a pop rivet or sheet metal screw in them or you will lose them. The fit wasn't as great as I remember the first kit, the left tail pipe is 1" farther to the outside, no amount of pipe twisting and turning would even them out, so I resorted to a bit of bend on each to equal them up. It is a bit louder than the other kit I had, but I think that is due to a different muffler type.

I have used the 40 series on multiple Chevy trucks and my Camaro so this system was my first choice for my 2013 Silverado 5.3 extended cab. Very easy to install. The old exhaust came out in one piece with no cutting. The new system was easy to assemble and the clamps work great (I know some reviewers
had difficulty getting them to hold tight enough but they are good and snug with a 3/8 impact gun). Didn't even have to jack the truck up. My only complaint was the tips that come with it are way too long. I wanted to use the strait back setup, but the tips stuck out 8" past the rear bumper and looked ridiculous. I ended up using the side setup for now. I may be able to trim the rear pipes back so the tips can go under the truck more, but didn't want to try cutting anything yet. Sounds good, may be a little louder inside than I wanted for a daily driver though.

BEWARE: Exhaust GOOD, Kit BAD

Great exhaust system, absolute junk hardware kit! The clamps that come with the kit are poorly made/designed and do not tighten properly/snugly. Even if you do get them tightened (without torquing head off the bolt) by using a cheater bar and a series of prayers, their holding power is pitiful. No wo
nder the instructions warn you that it is highly recommended to weld all the joints. There are ONLY 2 options with this kit... 1) Weld all your joints OR 2) Purchase actual quality SS stepped band clamps like the ones available at JEGS. These will tighten down like an effortless dream and your neighbors will thank you for not yelling every obscenity known to man within earshot of their kids for the 3 hours you will play f*** around with the junk hardware included. As for the exhaust, it is awesome and makes me smile every single time I start the truck. 6 stars for the exhaust, 0 for the hardware (which will run almost $100 for the new good stuff), gives an average of 3 stars. For shame Flowmaster, just knock $50 off the price and keep your crap-tastic clamps, anyone who isn't a welder will be either buying new clamps or likely picking their new American Thunder exhaust off the highway in pieces.

Well-designed and well-thought out replacement exhaust - Sounds good too!

Purchased this kit with some trepidation, as Amazon's site said it would NOT fit my Chevy truck, but Flowmaster's site and customer service department said it WOULD. Kit was ordered to replace the existing exhaust system, which was rusting out due to too much road salt. When Flowmaster advertises thi
s kit as COMPLETE, they MEAN IT. It contains everything you need. I took the kit to a local installer who was recommended, and he could not believe how well-thought-out the package was. All I had to pay for was the labor - there was NO additional fabrication required. As a side note, the sound is slightly louder than the previous system, which used a Flowmaster muffler. It also seems to be a lower pitch, which may be because the pipes are larger in diameter.

Excellent product, easy installation & a great sound. Exactly what I was looking for on my Silverado. Cost a little more than I wanted to spend, but if it lasts a long time, it’ll be worth it.

Everything fit well only thing the clamps did have to be retightened a few times but I’ve had it installed over a year now and I’m over all happy with it

Very pleased with product

Very pleased with product. Also installed a K & N cold air kit. Love the sound and am averaging 16 mpg while travelling 80+ mph on the turnpike. Not sure what would get for mileage if I drove 60........... Product gets an A+ rating.
