  • Great price, unanticipated tone and volume
Style: Base Product
Recently had this set installed on a 2015 Camaro RS. I was looking for a sound that was something more than stock (not to mention the potential HP gain), and listened to several videos of this and other products before purchasing. After purchasing here's what I found, and hopefully it will be helpful. The install was not as simple as it was made out to be on the manufacturers' video. I, thankfully, had it installed at a muffler shop where they had to bend the hangers and reround the connecting pipes in order for them to fit on the car. A tack weld was also necessary on one side because it kept moving while the other was being installed. Additionally, the stock mufflers did not come out very easily, and the mechanic had to use a pry bar to get them loose - not an easy task if you're laying on your back trying to do this job yourself. All this to say that having a shop install it might be preferable to doing it yourself. I had mine done for $80. As for sound, the system is a bit louder than the videos indicated, and a bit louder than I wanted. It has a nice low tone in the idle to 2200 RPM range. From 2200 to about 3500 RPMs it sounds like a bit tin-canish. From there on up, the sound is... well... a bit hard to describe. It's definitely enjoyable, with a hint of Ferrari in the tone - it pretty much screams. Interior sound is not overwhelming, and, while not annoying, there is a definite drone at the 1750 RPM mark (cruising speed). Overall I'm somewhat pleased with the purchase, and although I knew I wasn't going to get a V8 sound I was a bit disappointed with the mid-range tone of this product. Blame that on the V6, I guess. Not sure if I'll keep it on the car or put the stock system back on. CAI on the way, and will make a final determination then. Note - Adding the CAI really improved the overall tone of the car, and has improved the sound throughout the RPM range. The two components really bring the car to life, and I find myself looking for excuses to take it for a drive. ... show more

  • Good product, very easy install.
Style: Base Product
My axleback arrived about 2 days after ordering. I have a '14 1ls. They fit easily, quickly, and in about the span of an hour in my driveway (with no lift or jack stands, just some pavers under the rear wheels and a curb to back up to) I was able to install both the exhaust and a k&n typhoon intake trouble free. I could only call the sound of these "aggressive" when referring to the wide open, under load conditions. At idle they have a nice deep rumble, but no v8 sound like so many claim in reviews, its just not gonna happen. very little cabin drone, maybe at 2k rpm heavily loaded, its got a touch of drone, but it goes away quickly because its only in a narrow rpm range. Decel is quiet and sizzle/pop free. not a raspy exhaust unless you are revving it with the clutch in or in neutral, then its a little bubbly and raspy. WOT slamming through the gears, this system screams american muscle. Dont buy it expecting an ss package in a box, but in my opinion, one of the better sounding exhaust for the v6. be careful where you put the clamps at the midpipes, if positioned wrong will hit the suspension arms for the rear axle under travel. not good. ... show more

  • Love it in the end but kind of turned into a nightmare getting it done right
Style: Base Product
Instructions weren't super great but looking online at videos and reading reviews helped, I also wish there were torque specs listed. I had the system installed and I noticed on acceleration after a cold start it made this awful loud metallic rattle sound and upon inspection I noticed the tips had some wiggle room so I wrenched it down and it was still there and eventually the bolt snapped so I ended up having to get a replacement kit. I also noticed on installation the very end of the muffler tip appeared to be dented on the passenger side as pictured from the factory and on the replacement muffler was even worse. In the end I used some thin metallic tape on the first muffler to prevent that wiggle room and the sound seems to have gone away. For the price it shouldn't have had these defects ... show more

  • High quality components and perfect fit
Style: Base Product
It's so nice to install something that fits perfectly. Also, in the first 10 minutes of testing, I am able to more smoothly engage the clutch since I can actually hear the engine RPMs without guessing or watching the tach! I noticeably feel more low-RPM torque off the line. So far, after just a few hours, I'm completely satisfied with this purchase and would do it again. One thing they could do to make the installation more clear is to state the torque of the flat clamps on the instruction sheet. I managed to find a Flowmaster video on YouTube that said to torque the flat clamps to 80 ft.lbs, so I did it. ... show more

  • They do sound better; however
Style: Base Product
These are a moderate improvement over the Factory Mufflers. They do sound better; however, they will NOT give you the Chevy V8 roar if that's what your looking for. I personally like them as I can still carry on a conversation in the cab of the car when driving or at idle. I personally like them with my Camaro. I have a 2014 LS V6 and am also running a Typhoon K&N CAI. It seems as though the two complement each other very well as there is a noticeable difference in the performance. Take off (throttle response) has increased for sure. Yes, I would buy them again. ... show more

  • Makes a V6 sounds like a V8
Style: Base Product
This exhaust is very easy to install, was able to do so with a low profile at home ramp. The sound is incredible, makes the Camero sound like a Camero should sound. Little pricey but worth the price.

  • AMERICAN THUNDER!!!
Style: Base Product
I bought this Flowmaster exaust because I had bought it years ago for my 1996 Pontiiac Trans Am and loved the sound of it. Now I bought this Axel back exhaust kit for my 2014 Camaro 2 LS. I brought it to my mechanic to install. We put it on the Dyno before and after. After the new Flowmaster exaust was installed I gained 13 horsepower and 20 ft. Pounds of tourqe! I love the sound of the exaust now and the new Flowmaster exaust is much lighter than the factory exaust so I lost weight on the car. As soon as I drove the car I felt a diffence in the power! I highly recommend!! ... show more
