It was super easy to install. I didn’t even jack the truck up. You do have to cut the stock exhaust at the axle so you will need a saws all so something similar. But I had it installed in less then a hour. The sound is amazing under normal driving you don’t really even hear it and when you get on it it’s got a really nice throaty sound. There is no drone when driving on the freeway either. Mix this with a exhaust and a tune and you will have a nice bump in power. ... show more

So I ordered this because it was an open box and I had a small problem when it arrived. I didn't get any clamps with it and the one I got from the local dealer was $54.00. That was frustrating but stuff happens. I would highly recommend this cat back system if you want good sound and freer flowing exhaust. The best part is at freeway speed you can still talk like a normal person and it's got an outstanding finish. If you have ever bought something that had a good price and were disappointed I don't think this will be a problem. the fit and finish is definitely 5 star. the sound is outstanding and again 5 star. if the clamps were in the box the whole thing would be perfect. ... show more

I installed this on my 2017 crew cab z71. I bought this based on the American trucks YouTube install video, the video does the sound no justice at all. It is certainly a lot louder than I was expecting based on this video. It has a very nice deep rumble. On Flow masters sound scale it is in the upper 50% of their muffler line up on the sound side. Highly recommend. It took me 40 mins by myself with out a lift to install. I used a cutting wheel and made one cut behind the stock muffler and using the exhaust Ha he pliers it was easy to take the stock exhaust out. ... show more

This is exactly what I wanted to give my truck some exhaust tone without it being excessively loud or overwhelming. Easier to install that it was to remove the OEM equipment, but that's just a part of it. Once the original exhaust was off this system installed easily and as described. My experience with Flowmaster equipment goes back decades, and have been extremely satisfied the whole way. If you want to wake up your truck and not your neighbors and still be able to enjoy your stereo system without having to crank the volume to speaker-destroying levels, this is the system I recommend. ... show more

So glad I decided to go with this exhaust! It made my truck sound like a truck now! It took an hour to take out my factory 2017 Silverado 1500 exhaust out (which I cut behind the axle because I was laying on the ground installing it) and install the new flowmaster system. Just make sure you buy a new clamp off the catalytic converter to connect the new pipe. Mine was completely rusted and wouldn't break loose so I had to cut it off and replace it, it was $17 at my local hardware store. It's also a great look. ... show more
