Description

This mandrel-bent headers-back exhaust system is custom designed for most 1964-1972 GM A-body cars and is perfect for the person looking for true dual exhaust system. This system comes complete minus the mufflers and allows you to choose the sound level of the Flowmaster performance mufflers you desire for your vehicle. System features include all mandrel-bent 2.50-inch aluminized steel tubing, an H-pipe to equalize the exhaust gas pressures and sound for maximum performance and maximum clearance and includes two styles of tailpipe exits. Designed for an easy fit, these systems include all necessary parts, hardware, and instructions for an easy installation. Covered by our 3-year Limited Warranty. Notes: Requires 2.50-inch Offset Inlet/Opposite side Offset Outlet such as part 942548 (Super 44 Series) or 52558 (50 Series) mufflers.

This is a great bolt on application for a Hot Rod. A little tricky getting it all together by yourself but doable. The only issue I had was the “H” pipe section - didn’t provide enough clearance for my upgraded drive shaft. A lot of online solutions about cutting out that section and having the local weld shop modify and weld one back in. I chose use a large c-clamp to bent it in the middle with a support on the bottom so it wouldn’t bent at the bottom. Would have worked a lot better if I had some it prior to install but it worked out nonetheless. I wasn’t able to use the pipes from the muffler back due to upgrading to a coil over suspension. So I modified the tail pipes and dumped the exhaust right in front of the axle. Other than that, it’s a great product. ... show more

Very poor fit and terrible alignment. I bought this system based on positive reviews and the one I received must have been a reject from quality control if the reviews are correct. I spent a day with a 30 year seasoned exhaust installer and fought this thing every step of the way . The H pipe wasn’t correctly indexed , the driver side pipe going back is angled down so bad it won’t connect to the header . Very poor fabrication. Definitely will never purchase another Flowmaster exhaust system. ... show more
