This tree is really beautiful! The canvas was folded in order to be mailed, so there are creases you will want to iron out before beginning this project. That's fairly typical for these types of online orders. The kit includes everything you need - paint, 3 brushes, canvas, guide, and hanging hooks - but the frame is not included! The printing on the canvas is dark enough to read, but the numbers are on the small side, as usual, so if your eyesight isn't as strong as you'd like, you might want to have a magnifying glass on hand to reduce frustration. I also use my own brushes. The included brushes in kits like these are usually adequate, but if you plan on painting on a somewhat regular basis, buy yourself a set of your own brushes. They are relatively inexpensive and easy to find.

I’m torn on this set. I’ve done quite a few paint by number kits and found this one to have serious cons but a few pros as well. The canvas is very nice. The numbers are very clearly printed. However most of the paint is so thin it doesn’t even cover the number in the space. Some colors take minimum three coats of paint. The brushes are also extremely cheap and didn’t last through half the painting. I had to use brushes from a different set.

This paint-by-number kit pays homage to a long ago era. It is titled “Golden Girls” which reminds me of the period of The Great Gatsby! It is very vintage looking. It depicts a woman in all her glory, reaching up to the stars, dancing to music, surrounded by admirers. Hopefully, the final result will be just as satisfying. The kit includes everything it needs to complete the job: brushes, paint and a pre-numbered canvas.

I haven't done a paint by numbers since I was a kid. This should be a fun project. I was a little surprised at how it arrived (folded up canvas, with acrylic paints and brush in a clear plastic bag). Back in the day, I seem to remember a higher quality presentation - like a box with the finished art on the cover, and the canvas having a hard backing, but this will do - the canvas here is much bigger than those old kits, probably 4x so. It also comes with some hooks for hanging I guess? If it comes out decent, I'll probably do a homemade frame job on it. Like I said...should be fun!

With this paint-by-number kit, my daughter—who loves to paint—feels like a famous artist. The kit is entertaining to use, but it also helps her learn patience because she has to pay attention to the colors she is using and stay inside the lines. Overall, the set is fantastic, and it comes with all the paint and supplies you need to make a fantastic work of art. It is also ideal for hanging on the wall because it is on a canvas rather than a flat sheet of paper. Excellent set for adults and children.
