Florsheim Sorrento Single Monk Strap Shoe

First the good news. The design is really sharp. Quality looks great. The color (cognac) is fantastic. Comfortable to wear. Recommended. Now the bad news. Trying to get the right size is not easy. I needed to go a full size down from a normal dress shoe in a wide size. Needed to go a size and a half from my normal gym shoe. Even after sizing down, there is still an inch of room at the toe. You need to match the widest part of your foot to the widest part of the shoe for the correct fit. The longer toe box is part of the design. Shoe is narrow, need a wide for a normal width foot. Sizing is a bear, but worth it once you get the right shoe.

I am very pleased with these shoes. I bought a pair in black and another in cordovan. Both pairs excellent quality, good look and good fit. Florsheim quality is what you pay for and I got it in this case.

Nice (if slightly shiny) monk toe

I bought these to replace a pair of Johnston & Murphy monk toes that I have re-soled (and re-soled and re-soled) for years. The look is the same as the Johnston & Murphys, but the leather is slightly shinier. The shoes are wide and comfortable.

The wide fit for bunions is fantastic. They are comfortable, visually appealing and nice quality. The wide fit was more expensive by a lot, but fit me well worth it. Too bad they seem to be no longer available. Get them while you can!
