I saw these first on Tiktok and immediately saved them to my list for Prime Day. Got a really good deal on them for the amount of candles received. Once you get the hang of stringing them it actually goes by pretty quickly. I love how they look and it's so fun turning them on at night...really does add a touch of magic to the room. I'll probably leave them up through the holidays as well! The one downside is that so far there have been two faulty candles in the set (I didn't even need to hang all of them you get so many in this pack). So a little disappointed with that it looks like the faulty candles had either been a little crushed or a battery dried up in them since there was battery residue left. These candles look cool. The quality is not top of the line but they do the job. The wand and the 20 candles each take one AAA battery. The wand will only turn on the candles that you are directly pointing at. There is no timer setting. You have to turn them on and off manually. They are also a labor of love. All of the materials are included but you have to string the fishing line through each flame head and onto the included hooks. I attached the hooks directly to my ceiling. Hopefully, they don't do damage when I take them down. Five of the candle heads did not have a hole big enough for me to string fishing wire through. I contacted customer service and I hope to get replacements. I do feel like the suggested price of $50 is too much. Each candle takes several minutes to string and attach to a hook. They don't take nearly as long to put on the ceiling. Once I take them down I don't really know if I will be able to reattach them. I will probably have to find a new method of hanging them up. My intention is to only leave them up through Halloween and maybe Christmas. I contacted the company and they refunded me for the purchase of six new candles. ... show more

    • Magical + Fun, but time consuming & frustrating

The wand easily turns the candles ON, when you make sure the bottoms of them are not screwed too tightly after putting in the battery (Note: You will need a AAA battery for every.single.candle AND wand). HOWEVER- the OFF button on my wand is broken and will not turn off any of the candles. So I’m either left with the option of leaving them on ALL day, or having to (slightly) unscrew them individually to conserve battery life. These are overall beautiful and create a magical ambiance. They look great on our outdoor porch/entry way and sunroom for Halloween. It is also frustrating to have to tie 20 candles with the fishing line for the hooks. That part took me about an hour before I was able to finally hang them. And then ran into the issue of not being able to turn them off. I also don’t think these are worth $50 at all. If they can last for years to come, sure. But right now, I’m extremely annoyed at all the extra steps these require for the cost. ... show more

I’m only giving these four stars because a) the set requires 21 AAA batteries (sold separately), b) some of the threads were messed up so I couldn’t keep the bottom closed and hang all of them (but I put them in candle holders and it still looks good), and c) the adhesive for the hanging pieces is SO strong that it will take your paint off with it. Be very certain where to place them because you will not be able to move them after. Masking tape might be a wiser option, but I learned the hard way. Overall, I do love the ambiance of these floating candles, so I am satisfied with the purchase. I also learned that my soundbar can be controlled with the wand remote, so keep in mind that it could also unexpectedly affect your electronics. ... show more

The flicker (wand) doesn’t work sometimes, you constantly need to keep pushing the batteries in to wake it work which ruins the whole magic experience. The candles decide to come on and off sometimes by themselves. One of the candles arrived broken. Overall looks cute of course. It was a lot of work to put them up connect everything and buy batteries etc also the wand doesn’t work far away even a few steps away, you have to be really close to the candles to light them up. ... show more

This would have been the absolute best Harry Potter gift in the world but one came completely broken and another the hole on the candle tip was closed shut… I taped the little crack on the candle together and still hung it up since you can’t see it during the day. At night you can see the tape and the crack and of course it doesn’t light up 😭 makes me so so sad, could have been a solid 10/10. The concept is beautiful tho. 🩵Update🩵 I got a hold of costumer service and they helped out right away and fixed the issue! The string for hanging goes right through the tip of the "flame" allowing these candles to hang the way they should, perfectly perpendicular to the ceiling. The length is also very easy to adjust once you have them up. The wand remote feature is awesome. There are separate on and off buttons so you can move it around to get them all turned on. The tip of the wand lights up when you push the button so it really seems like the command is coming from there. 1 of the 20 in the set came without the mechanisms inside. Didn’t think it was going to work, little frustrating with the fishing wire, but still got it. No, I’m using the candles for witches hats to hang, which is a good glare. The only thing is that from a distance you cannot use the wand. You have to put the wand under the hat to turn on the candle. Other than that I love them I’m ordering another set today. beware of the others. I ordered a set from another company and they did not work at all waste of time but the JM tone works wonderful.
