I am so happy with this purchase. I did a lot of research online to find a good, sturdy standing desk that would last a long time. I've just had it for about a week, but I can already say it's a lot sturdier than any other desk I've owned. I found this one recommended in an article, and the reviews confirmed that I would want to try this one. I have 2 screens and 2 laptops that I need to fit on my desk, so I purchased the 60x24 desktop. It has plenty of room for all of that and whatever else I need to have near me. When I lift the desk, nothing falls down and even if our 2 cats jump up on the desk, I don't have to worry about it going anywhere. The assembly was a lot easier than I expected and I only needed minimal help from hubby! The one thing to point out is, it's probably good to wait until you have both packages before you put it together. I made the mistake to put together the stands and the transmission rods before I knew how wide the transmission rod would need to be adjusted. So I tightened the nut too much and then had trouble loosening it. I think the instructions tell you to tighten the nut, but I misunderstood that as tighten it real tight. So I would suggest not tightening it too much until the end. Overall, everything seems to work great and there don't seem to be any electrical issues with the lifting/lowering. I did a lot of research on standing desks before deciding on this one: the FLEXISPOT EN1 55" desk. I knew I wanted presets so I could get to/from the exact heights I preferred for sitting, standing, or walking, I wanted a white tabletop and either white or black legs. I watched a ton of videos and read many articles for best standing desks under $500, etc. Flexispot was consistently on the higher/best end of those lists so I felt safe choosing the brand & then had to narrow it down from there. MOTOR & PRESETS: The motor is much quieter than I expected, but you can still hear it, so just don't expect it to be silent & you'll be fine with that. It feels quite sturdy at any height, considering; a little more wobbly/jiggly while at top heights but that's to be expected & nothing that makes me concerned. It goes up/down pretty quickly and I love that I can push a button (memory presets are easy to set/change) go put my sneakers on and come back to it at the correct height for standing or walking while I work. ANTI-COLLISION SENSOR: The anti-collision sensor is automatically set, so you don't have to purposefully turn that on, but you can change the sensitivity or turn it off if you want. Once I set my heavy 32oz water bottle on the tabletop somewhat hard and it stopped rising immediately, starting again only when I pressed the button again. Really love this safety extra feature! SHIPPING & ASSEMBLY: It was shipped in two boxes, the base (legs & motor) arriving 1 day before the tabletop. The white chipboard desktop is exactly what I wanted: one piece, the material is smooth, and has a satin/matte look. You can choose which side to install the display/button panel on depending on your preference, during assembly. Attaching the legs to the tabletop and motor was relatively easy; though the instructions are 90% just pictures, if you look carefully they're still easy to understand. I was able to unbox, assemble and stand it up by myself within 30-45 minutes & using a drill for all the screws. OVERALL: I'm very happy with it & would purchase it again & recommend it to anyone that wants to try a standing desk without spending a fortune. I am very pleased with my purchase. First of all, the ONE PIECE TOP is great and the only way to go! It was easy to assemble with minimal arguing with family members while putting it together. In the end, very good! It does everything it says it will and does it well! You can set you height levels and sometimes you want it higher or lower, easy peasy! For the price, this is it! I'd feel badly about spending double the price because I can't see what could be so much better. The top it good, it goes up and down, its solid. Works! ... show more

Legs and desk top are VERY STURDY! Strongest model I have seen on here! Was not perfect for ONE person to assemble. I am in my late 60s, strong, but another person would have helped me to finish this in less than two (2) days! Great exercise for me! Ha-ha! Embarrassed to say, I won't need to install the desk lifter right now. But I am saving for another day, maybe. ... show more

Looking at other desks really highlights the bang for the buck you get here. I was a little skeptical of what would show up at my door when looking at the price of this desk, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The table legs are hefty and well made. All screw holes were correctly positioned and everything fit together without issue. A very nice touch is that all of the bolts and screws are packaged into divided, labeled segments making it easy to determine which piece the instructions are talking about in each step. The top showed up separately from the legs, as per the product description. At this price point it is unsurprisingly veneered material rather than solid wood, but it is dense and sturdy. There are alignment holes in the top to help align the screws through the legs into the top. The only part that feels kind not premium is the control panel for the up down function, but it's a super minor nitpick. The memory function for different heights is a must have though because you don't have to sit there holding up or down to get to the right height. Very convenient.
