I've built small scale model kits and dioramas for over 30 years and have a lot of experience building in miniature with paints, adhesives, tools etc. This is my second DIY Dollhouse type kit like this from Amazon and enjoyed the build and my results. These are not easy. They take patience and time. Do not expect this kit to go right together and do not expect a 9 year child to be able to easily assemble and play with it it. There are many parts and pieces. Lots of paper assembly. This kit is challenging but nowhere near impossible or a total waste as some reviews state. Please know what you're getting into on one of these. The instructions were fine and easy to follow, all of my pieces were there and everything worked as it should.     • Awesome kit for experienced builders and beginners!
This is by far the best DIY kit I’ve gotten. Here are the things that make it superior to other kits: 1. The quality of all the pieces. The furniture pieces are made very well. Other kits I’ve received have very cheaply made pieces. The pieces are uneven, not painted, just overall poor quality. Not the case with this kit. 2. The directions are clear. They, even emailed me a pdf of the instructions in English, which I appreciated. I don’t even need to use them much because the booklet is came with shows each step ver6 clearly with pictures. 3. The pieces are separated into labeled bags. If you’ve ever done one of these diy kits, you know there are many, many tiny pieces. I love that everything in this kit is organized and easy to find. There are even sheets with pictures of each piece, so you know exactly what you should have and how many. For the furniture pieces, you can fit the piece directly onto that supply sheet, so you know for sure you’re using the correct piece. 4. All the pieces are letter/number coded. This is invaluable to me. It also makes it user friendly, especially for beginners. Having done quite a few of these kits, I can say with certainty this one is far superior to any other I’ve done. I still have one kit on a shelf half done because the directions are very unclear, so I’m not sure how to finish. That’s such a waste of money! I love this kit, and would absolutely recommend it.     • Overall Pretty Great, Included Wiring So-So
While the instructions aren't always entirely clear, it's pretty intuitive if you refer to the non-directions photos in the pamphlet. The sticky tape for doing the LEDs is not very good; my lights were flickering due to insufficient connection until I purchased a heat-shrink tubing kit separately and made the connection(s) with that. Overall, it was fun to build and looks wonderful on my shelf! Would purchase this brand again. ... show more

I do a lot of miniature work so there are pieces included here that were not in the original kit. I also changed posters, some wallpaper, lighting, removed some shelves and I put a roof on it. I had SO much fun with this kit! I turned it into a Christian reading room/cafe because it already had a Christian poster on the wallpaper. The pieces fit so well and the kit has lots of cute little paper cutouts. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars on sturdiness is because the pieces that form the storefront are thin wood and a touch wobbly, a common problem-as in their coffee shoppe. I also selected to not use the wood front and that didn’t help, but the roof did help with sturdiness. If you like little detail work and working on “themes” this is a great kit.     • Fun, easy to follow And great results!
I put this together with my 9 yr old granddaughter. It took us 3 days, working 3 hrs each day. We both loved doing the project and it turned out great! I replaced the god saying graphic with a picture of g’daughter’s dog and added her name to the door. The directions were easy but the last 2 pages (putting the structure together) were very unclear and the pictures too dark to see, even with a magnifying glass. It’s almost as though the people writing the directions lost steam at the end. Very happy with the results however. The lights were a little complicated...I had to watch a few YouTubes to figure them out, but it all came together. Took some shortcuts with the plants...they became very tiresome, but making less didn’t matter. The dust cover pieces which were included were not cut correctly so we didn’t use it. All in all lots of fun for a hot summer project indoors! ... show more
