This is a relatively good chair and I’m pleasantly surprised for the price point paid. The chair I ordered was pink (because it was on sale) and based on the photo I expected a vaguely nauseating Pepto pink seat, but it’s a nice rose color. The chair is light weight because the seat is plastic and the base has a cheap looking chrome finish on it, but is metal. At 5’3” I was concerned that it would sit low enough for me, but on the lowest setting it’s fine with a little space extra and the wheels move well even in my carpeted space. Super cute! Super comfortable! Exactly what I needed for my classroom. I plan to order more! My one complaint is the screws on the bottom of the seat that connect the seat to the rest of the chair wiggle lose so I have to tighten them regularly. I have to retighten the screws once every week or every two weeks but I do use the chair daily and put it through a good bit of use. (I work in a SPED classroom and needed a backless but comfortable chair that allowed me to easily move from one student to another or from one area of the classroom to another without killing my back from bending over constantly.) ... show more

    • Good product. Here's what I wish I knew first.

Bought this to use at my counter height work bench, used for general business work and creative endeavors. Arrived earlier than expected, which was nice. The item comes well packaged with each piece wrapped in cushioning and packing tape. Includes 5 screws and the very simple directions. In short, you assemble the seat and seat back, then stack from the bottom up: Base, lift, foot rest, seat. That's it. 15 minutes, of that. I read a lot of the reviews and had some concern about the materials. I don't see the reason for concern. The seat is plastic, but is a a nice heavy weight material that I don't see cracking unless I did something stupid. As for weight, I'm around 190 lbs and 5'8". The rest of it is sturdy chromed steel which fit together well and feels solid. I like the glide feet as opposed to casters, since it stays where I am and doesn't try to get coffee while I'm working. The backrest isn't something I would try to crack my back on, and I would be cautious leaning back too far as you might topple backwards, but it is solid enough to be there when you want it. Not a whole lot of complaints, but here's what I think. I don't have much of a caboose, and the seat is a bit narrow for me. Not uncomfortable or worth returning over, but a bit snug. Perhaps when I get around to doing some squats it will be a little better. I'll let you know probably never. The foot rest is nice and sturdy enough for something that is held in place by friction and gravity, but I really wish it went up and down with the seat or was adjustable. It's fine at the highest setting, which I don't need, and just a bit annoying at the height I need as my knees hover around 1/2 an inch below my keyboard tray. That's about it. Would I buy it again? Based on assembly, price, and the 15 minutes I've been using it? Probably. But time will tell. If you don't hear back from me it means everything is fine. I'll update if it falls apart or stops working. ... show more

Color: Deep Blue Style: Tractor Seat with Back
We have two of these chairs: one I received for use as a desk chair, which everybody in my family quickly grew to like as much as I, and an additional one I purchased here as a present for the other members of my family (partially so I could keep mine for myself!) which we now use in the kitchen for various tasks. We've had these for at least a year and a quarter, maybe an additional quarter of a year for the one I currently use. My personal experiences are this: I sit long hours at my computer, as both a video game nerd and as an avid consumer of digital art programs, and this chair is quite comfortable for me; I've found no need for a cushion in all the many months I've used this excellent chair and I am in fact seated on it as I write this review. I am a chubby little shrimp, standing at about 5'2" and weighing about 170 pounds, and this chair has lasted quite a long time without giving up the ghost. I've found that the initially fragile-looking back holds up quite well under some pressure, but I'm still a little afraid to press on it and reflexively sit more forward in the chair than I had when I was using the larger plushier chairs that are more expensive. Also, this chair is very compact and can actually fit underneath my desk unlike my last chair, freeing up plenty of space in my fairly small bedroom. It's not exactly the most fancy-looking chair on the market, however, and those other chairs are somewhat more comfortable to use, but those are minor complaints for me. This chair requires assembly before use, but it doesn't take very long at all to assemble and I was right back to my usual activities within the hour. However, larger people may have a few issues with this chair, as others have already pointed out in more words and detail. The second chair's hydraulic system doesn't stay put as well as it does on the one I use (mine stays at the elevation you put it at if I were to sit on it but the other will sink a few inches if it's not already at the minimum height) but that's only a minor complaint and the chair is still very comfortable and workable. My points above still stand for the second chair as it did for the first. Overall? For me, this has stood the test of time as a chair that deserves at least four stars, if not the five I've currently given it. I'd definitely purchase this chair again. I sincerely hope that this writing has helped you make a decision as to whether or not you'd like to purchase this seat. In summary: A great chair for the smaller and/or younger people, and surprisingly durable, mine still not having broken altogether over 1.5 years of rather intense use, but if you're looking for that fancy office comfort I wish you luck because keep on looking! ... show more
