I bought this desk during Amazon Days and have enjoyed using it for months now. Being 5ft 2in adult, it has multiple uses: You can keep the height low and scoot an ottoman underneath it to use as a writing desk in a living room or study. I can watch TV and use the desk to eat from or do some light studying, comes in handy that way. The desk can fit in a tight space so you can put inside a guest bedroom at full height. In a home office you can use this as a secondary desk to hold more stuff as you work from home. The shorter height accommodates children but at the taller height it can easily be used by most adults. The cubby hole area built into the front of desk is deep and can hold a good amount of supplies. The surface area is sufficient for many items (book, small desk lamp, and even a laptop). I bought this as alternative to other desks for my 3rd grader to use for homework, art & crafts etc at home. This desk is built to last and become a family heirloom unlike particle board desks one could by from large box retailers. I am also thrilled that the desk's height can be adjusted as my child grows as they are in the 90% percentile for height and literally heads above some of their peers in height. Its set to the lowest height and even then leaves plenty of room to grow until we move to the second height setting. The media could not be loaded. I received my table today, assembled it, and am so happy with it. I bought it for my IBM Selectric III typewriter, which weighs 48 pounds and measures 22” x 15” x 7”. There are a few images with this review that show how well the typewriter fits on the table. I can also keep my manuals, font elements (golf balls), and ribbons in the storage area—score! The video I attached is me shaking the table to demonstrate how solidly it’s built. I’m confident that it won’t tip over and damage the typewriter or injure someone. I also tried to show how my legs fit under the table. I’m 5’6” tall, weigh 225#, and have thick legs. There is a 4” space between the tops of my legs and the bottom of the table, and 3” on each side of my legs. I can lean my legs against the table legs comfortably also. So I feel there would be plenty of room for average-size adult legs to fit under the table. It is on the tallest leg extension in the images and video. It didn’t come with wheels/casters, and there isn’t an easy way to retrofit them. The bottom of the feet have a nylon disc built in, which helps the table move across smooth surfaces. With the heavy typewriter it “chatters” as it moves; we’re not talking Foosball here. But I won’t be moving it far or often. I could research a different material for the bottom (e.g. felt furniture “moving” pads), or knit little “socks” for each leg if I find myself sliding the table around a lot. I gave the table five stars all around. Just make sure you study the way the legs are supposed to attach. I didn’t look at the diagram, and they are not labeled, so I had to disassemble the table and switch the location of the legs (there are only two). If I wasn’t picky I probably wouldn’t have noticed. It also helps to have a friend hold the legs in position as you feed the screws through the pre-drilled holes during assembly; or you can use a pillow to prop them in place. This table is sturdy and it’s was worth the extra time it took to put it together. It will last the rest of my lifetime. The table has a mid-century aesthetic, so it’s perfect for my typewriter. It’s also much more sturdy than the traditional typewriter table I had a long time ago (metal with a drop-leaf on each side). However, there isn’t any room for a copy easel or reference material for my typing. I’ll need to position anything like that on a different surface. I highly recommend this little table for a typewriter, sewing machine, or other type of craft use. ... show more

Bought this desk to use as a printer table. I needed something small and this works perfectly. There's a little cubby hole beneath the top of the desk. The top of the desk does NOT lift up. It's sturdy, too. The legs are adjustable. It's a keeper.

I ordered two of these desks for my kids (ages 3 and 7). One desk is being returned/exchanged because it had a broken/chipped desk top. The box was slightly damaged during shipping and because there is no protective packaging around the desktop, it was also damaged. (This could easily have been prevented if the manufacturer would simply put some styrofoam or similar protective packaging around the desktop.) The desk is easy to assemble IF you have an extra set of hands to hold the desk legs in place. An Allen Wrench is included to assemble the desk (9 screws total) so no additional tools are required. The legs are easily adjustable and the desk easily adjusts to fit both my 3 year old and my 7 year old, with lots of room for adjustment for when they are older. Overall, the desk is a good value for the money (in comparison to similar desks found online on school supply warehouse sites). I would order this product again; however my only complaint is the poor protective packaging. This item is highly likely to be damaged during shipping. ... show more
