I installed these shelves in a bedroom to get things off my dresser and some decor. Once mounted they look really nice. The black finish looks clean and modern and they blend in well with the room. Installation was pretty straightforward. The metal bracket mounts to the wall first and then the shelf slides over the bracket. As long as you take your time lining things up it’s a simple project. One thing I strongly recommend is not using the white plastic self-drilling drywall anchors that come with the kit. I’ve used that style before on other projects and they tend to strip out easily and leave larger holes in drywall. I used better anchors instead and the shelves mounted much more securely. The rest of the hardware worked fine and once installed the shelves feel solid and hold items well. Pros - Clean modern look - Easy installation - Feels solid once mounted - Good size for books or decor Cons - The small level included isn’t very accurate — use your own level - One of the metal brackets was slightly bent out of the box but straightened out easily Helpful tip: Use your own level and better drywall anchors if you have them. It makes installation easier and the shelves will mount much more securely. I reviewed this, entitled it excellent and complementary due to the fact that one of my neighbors came over and saw the shelves Hong and said they look so cute up at the top of the wall where I placed them. I didn’t put them side-by-side as I originally thought I would, because it would’ve been a gap between, and it would’ve looked overwhelming to have too many shelves on the wall. Be sure when you hang these that you force it to pop into place or it will be tipping over slightly and will have a gap between the wall and the edge of the shelf and it did not require all the anchors due to the weight being very light. It would’ve been nice if they would’ve sent a screwdriver short one for this work, the screws do not go in flush without stripping them, though. But I was still able to click it into place and make it flush against the wall since it’s recessed. Overall, they look really nice and I’m pretty pleased. ... show more

The metal hardware was a bit warped, which made it difficult to mount it on the wall leveled. However, once he screwed in the sides to kind of even doubt, it was fine. Overall, not too bad of a set up to do on your own. Took me about an hour. Love the look, especially for the price !!

I installed these shelves last night and they were easy to install. You're given some mounting options to choose from for the wall, I chose the screw in mounts they came with for ease. They look of good quality, but note they are engineered wood, so don't beat up on them otherwise they look great!

Decent shelves that look nice. Not the most sturdy or durable. Seems they are a bit wobbly, I wouldn’t recommend putting heavy items on these shelves. Overall easy installation a lot of anchors for shelves that can’t support that much weight though. Made of particle board that fits onto the bracket loosely. These will do the job ... show more
