So any of you that’s never done this before… try and reuse the mirror backing (plastic mount for glass) otherwise you’ll NEVER GET A NEW ONE ON, I went that route first and it’s impossible to line up with glass on it because there’s holes that the factory uses to see the alignment then the glass goes on. Anyhoo I’m talking 1st gen tundra side mirror. As for this product since I cleaned the shattered glass off of plastic backing, I had a good setting for this mirror. Also found out that if it’s just spidered you can buy a cheaper mirror and glue on top of that old one. This glass was cut perfect to sit in plastic tray that holds it. Just put it on last night. My driver side got smacked by another trucks driver side mirror from a aggressive driver in the opposite lane coming towards me. I noticed he was hogging the road when I spotted him about a mile or so ahead so I merged over to my side as much as possible and his mirror nailed mine and broke the glass in it but none of it fell out which was mind blowing like 40 or so pieces still in the same spot so I went with the face mount. I kinda thought that if none of it fell out that it would be one hell of a job to try to dig it out because our mirrors made contact at around 40-45 mph so it was loud and hard and all it did was crack my lense and pushed the mirror back into closed position which I use alot when I park on narrow roads so another vehicle don't take it off and not stop and at least put a note on your car apologizing and offering to pay for it so nobody has to mess with they're insurance policy and everyone's happy. But not all drivers are responsible. Lol the guy tried to say I hit his mirror when I was touching gravel on the side of the road and coming to a stop while he just kept rolling. I backed up and checked on him and he was a smart ass and said it should be ok just go on like I hit him. Pretty much done the same thing to his mirror. Didn't even ask about me or mine. I just chuckled and shook my head at him and took off. And I was starting to come to a stop to give him the road and let him go on about his way flying in his F350 with some big a** mirrors on it. Dont waste your time taking old glass off. Just use double sided tape and some E6000 glue or whatever you got and tape/glue this mirror on to your old mirror. You won't even tell and it works great. Save yourself time and money and just buy this and follow my advice.

I have replaced the driver side mirror twice. The first one fit fine and was good glass. This one I just got did not fit. Slightly too big to fit in frame. Had to angle so it is out of the frame on the bottom side. Mirror makes cars look narrow. Passenger side fits perfect.
