Dont waste your time taking old glass off. Just use double sided tape and some E6000 glue or whatever you got and tape/glue this mirror on to your old mirror. You won't even tell and it works great. Save yourself time and money and just buy this and follow my advice.

I was able to pry out the old glass using a heat gun and a 1" putty knife. I peeled it away slowly and the heating element film was still in tact. I used the included adhesive strips and also put several small dots of 100% silicone. It fits great, looks nice and was cheap. I have it held in with painters tape for a few hours while the silicone cures. ... show more

The mirror did not fit into the 2000 Tundra's right/passenger side mirror casing, very small, left a one inch gap at the top (or bottom, depending where you place the mirror) Sometimes I simply cannot see who is in the right hand lane.

My old mirror has cracked for years. I was able to remove it easily with the instructions provided with this new mirror. Easy to install. I am cautious so I included more adhesive tape on the back before I installed it. Don't know why I waited so long to replace my cracked one. The price was great and the install was simple.
