Pros: This is a terrific product. I use it mainly for weeding and pruning; keeping my cellphone, a bottle of water, my weeder and pruner in the caddy while throwing the weeds into the center of the bucket for later disposal. I don't do a lot of gardening, all my plants are planted and set and I spend maybe a couple hours a week doing general maintenance. This is perfect for that. For heavy tools, you'll want to get a caddy designed for that purpose, such as the Bucket Boss. This Garden Caddy is very very clever and handy, and designed specifically for gardening purposes. I love it. Some minor, minor concerns: 1. The strap is velcro. The product description mentions a "lock-and-loop fastener" but perhaps that was an earlier version? Unless "lock-and-loop" is code for velcro. This is a concern for me because velcro doesn't work too well when muddy, or old, and if I have heavy items I'm worried it might not hold. However, I've given the caddy a few good tugs and even left it hanging overnight with some very heavy items attached and it seems to hold very well. So until I see otherwise, the velcro is probably fine, especially since I won't be buckling and unbuckling it often. 2. None of the compartments are elastic. There are enough compartments of different sizes that this isn't a problem for me, but I would've liked to see one or two that stretch so my kneepads aren't such a tight-fit. Still, it's not like I actually need an elastic compartment, so maybe I'm being picky. Some notes: This only fits a 5-gallon bucket. The bucket is not included. A bucket will cost you $3 - $6 at your local hardware store, though if you have one lying around from a paint job, or even your CostCo laundry detergent, it'll fit. Overall, this is an extremely useful tool, perfect for light-gardening. The price is low (on occasion you'll see it as low as 5 bucks at local stores, but I wouldn't hassle over the 2.50 here as you'll want to get this asap, it's that handy). 5 Stars for a well-thought-out product!

I guess it could have just been my mistake and maybe I didn't read/look at the product (and which is included lol) in all it's entirety but, I did receive the tool holder which wraps around and sits on the bucket snug, but I didn't realize that it didn't come with anything (such as any of the kind or type of tools shown in the picture) or bucket of any size--which I thought was possibly included. So although a useful and unique thing to purchase--in which the tools, bucket, etc. anything else was included with the purchase I would not recommend in that the item purchased being the bag alone doesn't make any sense to purchase because it was definitely over-priced for just the bag holder to be individually priced and sold as is and also the shipping date as well as the date I eventually received my item in the mail was definitely more than a bit tardy (which was after Christmas--when it's sole purpose and reason I ended up buying the item was for an individual, meaningful Christmas present for a close family member). Next time, I myself as well as would advise anyone interested in purchasing this unique, look's-may-be-deceiving item should not buy something of this sort or any kind of gardening/lawn working item such as this on here or the internet at all in general--but simply just next time go to wal-mart and pay half the price for a product of this sort that is essentially 2x better.

Love this for organization of my gardening needs. Seem Durable. Use a 5 gallon bucket the screw down lid for Tractor supply. I wrapped the long velcro piece twice around metal part of the bucket handle(Saw this on a video, ) and the velcro just right. Put all my long weeding items inside ,rooting powder, even garden shoes in a large baggie, in the bucket and outside all smaller clippers, hand rakes , gloves and still have one pocket available and pencil pockets. Love the versatility. The Material weight like canvas, mesh on bottom of the pockets probably will allow airflow and dirt to fall out.

This is a very convenient way to keep all your gardening tools handy. It's similar to the bucket tool caddies that contractors used with one key different -- there's no flap that goes inside the bucket, so it's possible to use the bucket to carry dirt, weeds, plants, etc. without getting dirt all over the caddy. Construction is decent. I had no problems fitting it to a five gallon bucket, but it's essential that you find one that does not have a lot of ribs around the lip. The caddy straps on with velcro, and the ribs would make it hard to get a good fit. Thus, buckets you buy at places like Home Depot will not work well - you need an old 5 gallon paint bucket for best results. There are plenty of pockets. The pockets on one side are closed at the bottom; the pockets on the other are open on the bottom. Chances are you'll be able to fit all the tools you want to carry. The only problems I encountered were with long handled weeders. I'll end up carrying them inside the bucket as before. The seed pocket (sort of like a wallet with cutouts to stash seed packets) is a nice touch but, alas, one that I can't use since I purchase most seeds in bulk bags not envelopes. Wish there was an option to remove that and replace it with a pocket suited for tools, but hey - at this price, I can't complain at all. My only concern is construction. While it is decent for the price paid, I expect it will be a bit ragged after significant use. Reenforced seams with rivets would be great - I'd be willing to pay a bit more for that. A better gripping mechanism would also be a nice touch - perhaps some type of spring clamp that grips the bucket so the burden of holding this on is not born by just a single piece of velcro. Lastly, a built-in sheath for a garden knife would be an excellent addition.

While I love the many pockets and idea of this fitting around a 5 gallon bucket, it doesn’t fit very well at all. I should’ve read others’ reviews as I I have the same issue with the Velcro. There isn’t enough Velcro overlap for it to be securely fastened, so the whole thing ends up sliding down. The Velcro strips should be longer, wider, or at least in a better location.

I got this first as a Christmas gift for my mom, as she complained that she could never seem to find an effective system of storage/transport for her gardening supplies. She raved so much about it that I came back and ordered one for myself. With just a small container garden on my balcony, I use the pockets for pruning snips, scissors, a transplanter, shovel, and even my cell phone. My large spritzer bottle fits nicely, too. At the beginning of the season, the space in the bucket is useful for carrying potting soil. I just love that I can fill it up and get to work without having to lug the bag of potting soil and tools around separately (and dropping it all along the way). After planting is over I use the bucket for everything from extra pots and loppers (for the tall trees that invade my balcony space) to potato chips and other snacks to enjoy while I'm making my watering/trimming rounds. The only flaw -- and it is a negligible one -- is that it is a bit short and it takes some tugging to get it snugly around the bucket. Once on, though, it stays, so this wasn't too much of a hassle. Overall, it is lightweight, durable, and well-thought out. I would recommend this to any gardener looking for a practical means of storing & transporting supplies.

First of all, I received a green caddy rather than the blue one pictured on the amazon link. Secondly, the caddy does not fit any 5 gallon pale that I own. The connecting velcro strap is far too long to fasten. I did read a review that a customer experienced the same thing with the green caddy but not the blue one that Fiskars sent them as a replacement. Because I thought I was getting the blue one, I didn't give it another thought. Third, I purchased a number of Fiskars Xact hand tools to populate the caddy with. The tools are amazing... large and sturdy; however, this fact has them flopping around in the small caddy pockets. I may attempt to shorten/resew the velcro strap, but that won't fix the latter problem. Hmmm... maybe a large rubber band around the top of the bucket to hold the tools against it. If any of you have had a similar problem and found a fix, I would love to hear about it.

this is great to carry around gardening tools! It has more than enough pockets for me, I have a soil meter, pruners, hand trowel, hand rake, gloves, cleaner for my tools, etc... i carry the bucket around and prune all my plants and put the leaves in the bucket. The only thing i didnt think about was that I couldn't just dump the bucket over to empty the leaves, since all my tools will also fall out, so i also have a pair or tongs i use to pull out the leaves. Not the most efficient, but it works, lol. Overall, a great purchase!
