I'm a little over 6 foot, I do a lot of digging, especially through some nasty grass. This is pretty light, durable. I wish it was just slightly wider (where you push down with your feet). Overall a good purchase, I feel like it will withstand some punishment.

I run a ten acre orchard and dig a lot of holes. I have gone through many shovels, often because the wooden handle or fiberglass handle breaks. This one, with its metal shaft, is the best one I ever had. Tough. Definitely worth the extra money.

I was needing a durable shovel to replace an old wooden one i had, evidently i am just putting too much stress on my tools. Or they are getting old like me, 54. This has an aluminum alloy handle into a long shank, so i can really throw some leverage on it.
