This FishPond backpack is not just waterproof, but bulletproof. I also have a Patagonia Stormfront waterproof sling which I got for fishing. The Patagonia is very nice and does the job, but the Fishpond is just better. Much thicker nylon and everything super reinforced. The sling is nice in that it is easy to spin around for access, but is more difficult to keep centered on your back if you are doing some serious hiking to get to the river. You really get what you pay for here. It’s sturdy, fits the shoulders and back very well, and is super comfortable while wading and fly casting. The pocket is cavernous. The small pocket on the front is very useful, and the two pockets inside are also plenty to store the little things. I really enjoyed that one pocket inside is a zipper. Love this pack and exterior seems to be holding up well. Only issue is internal pockets started coming apart in the first week and their build quality not as robust as the rest of the pack.
