The cherry wood floating mantel arrived with the hardware necessary to make hanging this mantel easy. There is a a wood bracket that you level and mount on the wall and the mantel literally just slides on top of the bracket and seats itself in the groove cut out for the wood bracket you install on the wall. The pre-drilled holes on the mantel make it easy to secure the mantel too. The real wood color and grain are beautiful. The natural wood looks even better with a clear stain applied and really showcases the wood grain. The neutral color should match most decors and definitely adds a classic rustic vibe to any space as soon as you hang the mantel up. Being real wood this mantel should last for years with minimal care. The wood is strong, durable, and the shelf holds a fair amount of weight if anchored into a stud. While meant for fireplaces, this floating mantel / shelf would look good hung up in any room of the house. I got this 72” cherry wood floating mantel and it completely changed the look of my living room. Great look to add to any room. This is a.nice mantle. Installation took a second pair of hands but wasn't too hard. I like the floating shelf look. The wood color is nice and goes well with my stained floors. Hardware was included and was exactly what was needed.
