  • Impeccable XMOS Decoding: The E10K-TC comes with the flagship XMOS XUF208 for better USB decoding. Compared to the original E10K, the USB Audio class has been upgraded to 2.0, and PCM is now supported up to 32 bit/384kHz sampling rates to better capture the details in your music
  • Quality Chips to Delight your Ears: The DAC is the PCM5102, with improvements to the flatness and delays of the internal digital filter meaning better sound quality and less audio delay. A high current amp circuit ensures good output power with great transient response

In terms of performance its great i have nothing bad to say about it ive had it for months ....how ever fiio did something quietly with out telling anybody all driver data for the Olympus 1 and 2 have been deleted off their official website if you some how accidently or your computer somehow deletes the driver YOU CANT GET IT BACK...it will still work but it will never perform at it full potential it will play sound but the volume knob will be useless and the bass and gain won't work buy at your own risk ... show more

  • Works great while being compact
It's super small but does a lot for boosting audio. The gain and bass boost switches are super helpful for my headphones and how I like to listen to music. This amp took my headphones from a 10 to an 11 easily. For reference, my headphones are the Sennheiser HD 660 S

  • Great little amp! One small problem....
This headphone amp is outstanding for the price range and performs exceptionally well... while it's connected. The only problem I have with it is that after about two months, the USB C port in the back started wearing out, and now every time I move the amp slightly, my headphones disconnect from my PC, and I have to reconnect it. I've tried different USB C cables and still have the disconnecting problem, so it must be the USB C port in the back. So, in terms of sound quality for the price, excellent, but in terms of durability, that port in the back won't last you very long! ... show more

  • Didn't need it, but still kinda nice to have
So I am using this with a Sennheiser HD58x, which can get decent volume without an amp, and I have a few thoughts: 1. It kinda makes instruments sound further apart, I don't know how else to describe it. This effect probably has a name, but it does feel more alive and expansive but, not by all that much. 2. The bass boost is okay, I will listen to music with it, but turning it off and setting my own EQ up makes the bass sound less muddy than the bass boost does. 3. The blue light on the device is just way too bright in a dark room. 4. A digital audio in would also be nice, since this isn't just a dac it is an amp, still for the price only being able to use it with a PC isn't such a problem. 5. I wish the device was either a bit bigger with rubber feet, or a bit smaller with a battery. 6. The noise floor truly seems to disappear, it is very impressive there is just no noise when you don't have any audio playing as you have to wonder if it is on or not. All in all, I consider this a pretty good deal, and while the sound improvement was admittedly minor from my motherboard's sound card, the fact I can tell a difference at all is good enough for me. ... show more

  • Just got today, first DAC/AMP
Title... Not an experienced audiophile, just picked up a DAC/AMP to fix electrical interference in my PC setup. Being used with low impedance headphones (ATH-M50X's). I love songs with heavy bass. That being said, the bass boost is trash, you're much better off downloading a software equalizer and setting that to your liking. Besides that tho it's a nice little product. Emphasis on little - Was expecting something a bit bigger based on the pictures, but it fits in your palm. Not a big deal tho since it's just getting mounted near my PC, size didn't really matter. Quality wise it fixed my problem and the audio for everything just seems much cleaner. Anyone else using it for PC that uses Realtek sound drivers and their built in equalizer be warned tho - This device has its own drivers (Was plug and play, so windows recognized it and installed the drivers instantly) that do NOT come with an equalizer. Took 60 seconds to get out of the box and plugged in, then two hours searching for a good software eq that didn't sound like trash and configuring it properly. Once everything was set up tho it was well worth it. ... show more

  • I hope your unit doesn't have the same defect as mine.
Before saying anything else, I'd like to mention that my unit is not recognized by my PC on startup. If I unplug it and then plug it back in it'll be recognized by my system; Spotify won't open up unless I restart my computer. I'm not sure if it's just that my front i/o audio is just super overpowered (my computer is the HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF) but the overall level of detail stayed the same when I switched between my front i/o audio and my Fiio E10k. That is, until I flipped the Bass switch. It's essentially cocaine. Once you get a taste you don't wanna go back. At least, that was the case with my SHP9500s (which are not very bassy headphones). The volume control felt fine. It doesn't sound super noisy when I plug in my Blon Bl-03 IEMS. Overall, here are my final thoughts. If you're looking to upgrade your listening experience I suggest choosing a different pair of headphones rather than hoping an amp will bring you to the next level. If you're on let's say a pair of <$100 headphones, maybe get a pair of HD 560s' or HD 6xx's. Even then, you're probably better off pairing either of those headphones. If you notice a difference between your phone's headphone jack and your laptop's headphone jack in terms of sound quality then I would say this is a worthy upgrade for your laptop audio. Otherwise, look for either a different Fiio product or an upgrade/sidegrade in your current headphones. ... show more

  • I like it for its cheap price and type c port
I don't love the sound quality. It's not bad but I had an old Samsung A71 phone (w a headphone port) that I believe had better sound. I use this w a new Samsung phone (sans headphone jack) and it does drain the battery fairly fast but not too bad. Probably could get about two to two and half hours of listening from my 4000mah battery with this. Again, I don't love the sound quality but don't hate it. I would say there's not as much soundstage with this or depth as I would like, when comparing other dacs w same headphones. Clarity and crispness of instruments is not present. It's worth the money it costs. ... show more

  • An improvement from previous models.
I use to have the old microusb version. It lasted for 4 years then started getting static. No big deal that's quite a while for a budgeted item. But this one feels much nicer the dial is firmer and I want to say it feels a little heavier but that just might be placebo. Got to love that built in bass boosted circuit too. Plus kudos for USB C! ... show more
