I haven't taken this chain off more than a couple times in about a year. The color held up through showers, saltwater and pools. I wear it with a stack of other chains. It's gotten tangled plenty of times and never broken. Also, my pendant is a little small and sometimes gets stuck by the clasp. I often have to pull it loose with a bit of force. I bought this 2mm chain as a replacement for the ball-link unit that came with my DNR dog tag. At first, I thought I'd screwed up and should have bought the larger 4 or 5mm chain because this looked so fragile. After a little strength testing, I thing I made the right choice. I didn't want something that would be obvious or obnoxious, just durable enough to do the job. The clasp is kind of awkward for old, fat fingers so I'd suggest you get a necklace large enough to go over your head. ... show more
